I HATE THIS!! lol They told me the same & I was accepted.Had one of my interviews and my interviewer said "good luck on your journey" instead of "I hope to see your here" Let the overthinking begin lol
From what I've seen on here, usually a week or two after your interview WEEK is over. So the last scheduled date on for the group of days you interviewed for. Those who have heard.. how long after your interview before you heard something back?
It took like 3 weeks for me to get my decisionFrom what I've seen on here, usually a week or two after your interview WEEK is over. So the last scheduled date on for the group of days you interviewed for.
My experience isn't all that useful since I interviewed at the end of August, but my friend got their decision in 4 days, another in about a week, and seems like most people haven't waited any longer than a few weeks at the longest. Those who have heard.. how long after your interview before you heard something back?
Conversely, I had the dean of admissions at a different school respond to my thank you email with a super friendly personalized message ending it with "I look forward to our paths crossing in the near future" and then they waitlisted me. None of it means anything don't worry about it lolI HATE THIS!! lol They told me the same & I was accepted.

+1II just now! Complete early august. Very surprised!

Same and I was wondering the same thing about post II/WL letters of intent?Just got the WL, interviewed in early March.
I know Buffalo has a lot of movement off the Waitlist, and I feel like I did well during my interviews, so I'm still hopeful.
Has anyone else sent post interview Update Letters?
Im still waiting for an II lol....Still haven't even heard anything in any direction from them. Anyone else in the same boat?
I'm IS, interviewed on 03/22Is everyone who's being put on waitlist an IS or OOS? I'm OOS and interviewed so late...
Haven’t seen anyone post post-II R on this pageAnyone know if they have sent out any post-interview R's? Or has everyone who has had an interview either been accepted or waitlisted?
I didInterviewed, OOS, waitlisted, hoping to see some waitlist movement 🙂 good luck everyone! Anyone from waitlist submit LOI?
July 1st 2022 (for next years cycle) or risk your acceptance being rescinded according to MSAR. They updated it with next years info so I assume the same date for our cycle too? cant be sure. When is the CTE date to UB?

Yes, really wanted to get an ii at Buffalo. IS. MCAT 508 gpa3.7, lots of ECs, little research. So far I have heard nothing. Is there still a chance? Does anyone know?Is there anyone still waiting for interview invites??
Sooooooooo... there's probably no more IIs at this point right?
They are interviewing until April 28th. Soo I wouldn't lose hope! The class shifts dramatically once people confirm one of their acceptances! I'd send an update ("substantial one") on what you've been doing these months? It could push anyone into an interviewing spot even if it was for a waitlist!Yes, really wanted to get an ii at Buffalo. In the confirmation email when they mark you complete in receiving all the documents etc.. It had said that "The time factor has no impact on our decision-making. Our last interview day of the year is scheduled for Wednesday, April 28, 2021. We do not fill our ENTIRE class until after that date."do you know when is the last day they send IIs?
I've seen that before, just wondering if you had any idea about when is the last day they send IIs.In the confirmation email when they mark you complete in receiving all the documents etc.. So I'm hoping for that reason the interviews that happen do have a shot at getting accepted? Am I reading this wrong? lol
ohh from what i see is that if we are sent an ii - they schedule the dates for interview next week. That's what happened to mee... so probably the week before April 28th? I'm guessing hereI've seen that before, just wondering if you had any idea about when is the last day they send IIs.
They said they will review applications until March 31st in their confirmation email, so probably sometime on/soon after March 31st?I've seen that before, just wondering if you had any idea about when is the last day they send IIs.

It is unbelievable to me for someone who has an MCAT score of 513 and applied to all those schools is just now getting interviews. I don't understand the rhyme nor reason. Congratulations!I am so happy for you. It is heartwarming to read your post. I am happy that Buffalo looks beyond numbers. You achieved this success. I am sure you feel that a big burden is off your heart. You will become a great physician. Good luck. Enjoy the day.
Congratulations!! I wanted to echo your take on Buffalo's interviews--they were so interested in my story and really showed how holistic their admissions decision is. Even though I'm a trad student, I really appreciated the conversations about my experiences and journey to medicine.Hey y’all, my first time posting on SDN. But I just wanted to send a message to give others a glimmer of hope.
I applied to 38 schools around September (I know a bit late, but my MCAT was severely delayed because of COVID). I submitted to Jacobs 9/14.
This was my only interview (mid-March). To be honest, I was gearing up for a re-application and feeling pretty devastated. A week later, I had my two interviews (March 22/23) and on that very Friday, I got the acceptance and now I’m rushing to get everything set to start MEDICAL SCHOOL in a few months!
(They sent out interview invitations for the week after, and they apparently interview until the end of April, so they probably still haven’t contacted people they’re planning to interview in late April yet.) Also, I know two current medical students and they both said there’s a LOT of waitlist movement, so don’t give up hope if you got the waitlist! Do whatever you can to update them!
My interviews were INCREDIBLE and the two interviewers made me feel so comfortable, we just had a very conversational talk about my journey (know your CV well and be able to talk about each experience and how it fleshed out your path to medicine). Every person I’ve contacted at Jacobs has been incredibly warm and welcoming and I’m so excited.
I’m IS and a non-traditional (graduated 2015 with a business degree and completed a pre-med post-bacc). cGPA hovers around a 3.3 (because of a terrible undergraduate GPA - 3.0) and a postbacc GPA of 3.8. 513 MCAT. Story is a bit unique and I had a lot to say in my interviews about why medicine and what it means to me. Worked some interesting volunteer/internship experiences over the past few years.
It’s truly not over til it’s over. You guys got this!!! I really grappled with the idea of re-applying, but being on a non-traditional path has really given me so much context that you guys (and I!) are SO young and have so, so many years ahead of you and so many opportunities ready for your taking! Even if you have to reapply, it’s not over and DEFINITELY doesn’t mean anything about your self-worth! Keep your heads high and remember why you do what you do. Enjoy yourself. I came from an industry I absolutely dreaded every single day in, and while medicine will have awful, lemonade-making days, it is so incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. Never let that passion dim, even in times of trying hardships. You guys are awesome. 🌟
Use the university at buffalos code. They dont have one specific for Jacobs SOM.Anyone know Buffalo's FAFSA code?
