2020-2021 Colorado

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Does anyone know what happens now that we have the A? Do you have to somehow reserve your spot somewhere?

I asked Dr. SooHoo and he said the admissions team will email us sometime early next week with the official email and steps to make the deposit.

got one coming up! how'd it go?
Not the one you asked but I thought it went well! I was nervous about the group activity & group interview but enjoyed them both. And my individual interviewers were very smiley & engaged- made me feel very welcome! Agreed that it was a super long day but they give a good number of breaks. I’m sure you’ll do great. Best of luck! 🙂

+1 group activity and interview were actually fun, I enjoyed them both. My interviewers on the individual one were awesome and both gave me positive feedback.
I didn't like the 3 presentations on the programs they have though, I guess the Q&A is useful but the power points made it soooo boring for like ~2 hrs. I was mostly reading election stuff during that time lol.

Does anyone happen to know if CUSOM provides M1 students with an iPad?
Looking at one for xmas and I know some schools give you one (that isn't optional)

Excellent! Thank you so much for the info!
Just want to note that you don’t have to make the deposit until next July!! So you can accept the offer on the portal, and still hold off on the deposit until you decide to commit to enroll next spring

Does colorado accept post-II letter of interest/intent/updates?

has anybody not heard back yet from the september and october interview dates? based on the admissions tracker, their post II acceptance rate seems to kinda low at like 37%

FWIW, they've interviewed slightly over a quarter of last year's total interviews per MSAR. I think SDN is just a very small portion of the full applicant pool.

Has anyone who completed the primary in mid-june and secondary mid-july not heard back about an interview? I emailed admissions and they said my application was still under "screening." Anyone know if this means anything?

It means you're under their threshold for an automatic secondary, so they're going to look at your primary and decide whether to send you a secondary. Apparently they could make that decision pretty late in the cycle.

Edit: NVM, I can't read apparently!

Thanks for the reply. I already completed a secondary though and was wondering about an interview. I am in state.

I'm in the same boat! Hopefully we hear something soon. I definitely don't think it's a bad thing

Any accepted students just see the branch preference survey on their portal today? Mine only popped up today but it says it was due on November 10th

just looked, mine says it was due nov 5th... weird. also if we indicate interest in one of the other branches, but we didn't do those essays in the secondary...what happens

Mine also popped up today but it says due on November 23th, 2020. Are you able to fill it out? Maybe worth emailing admissions about. 🙂

The branch program directors said on interview day if we didn't initially show interest to just email them respectively and when needed they will ask you to submit the essays to be considered!

Has anyone gotten an interview for the Fort Collins Branch? Also how long does their cycle run? And does anyone know anything about potential scholarships? Sorry for all the questions lol

From my understanding there isn’t a separate process for the branch, you just interview for CU then get considered for Fort Collins if you’re accepted to the school overall. Scholarships seem limited for OOS students but I think there’s a $5000 scholarship or stipend for the Fort Collins students

Just curious, how long has it taken to hear about an interview after your secondary is complete? Did you hear about an interview via email or do they also update the secondary app portal? Thanks in advance!

Hey foffee - I heard 3 weeks after submitting my secondary. I got an email and it was updated with an 'interview' tab in the AMP portal!

I was complete in July and still nothing (IS). It may be a long haul.

This is from last year's SDN thread, hope it sheds some light.

This might have been answered before but did anyone else get an email to fill out residency classification post interview?
