Does this school usually send out lots of pre-II R’s? I’m OOS and my state schools just ghost us over here

For those who received ii, did the ii show up under the communication tab of your app as well? Or was it just in your emails? Thanks and congrats

Mine was an email that came around 3 MST!

I got an II here but nothing (so far) from either of my state schools, whose stats are similar to Colorado's. It's a weird process, that's for sure.
 
Hey, for anybody who has interviewed or will interview tomorrow:

Does anybody have only 2 “Start Interview” buttons? My first interview does not show a symbol/button in the portal. I don’t know if this is a technical issue or is just added tomorrow.
 
I’m weirdly attached to Colorado even though I have never stepped foot in the state 🙁 wish I was on this II wave

Ugh how bad is it if you didn't do so well on a couple of the solo interview questions... In my one interview =[
 
Anyone else who submitted their AMCAS in September with meh GPA and MCAT still waiting to hear back about secondary app determination? I'm realistic that my chances aren't super high but the wait is killing me a bit.

I submitted my secondary on 9/30 and have yet to hear back as well 3.3 cgpa and 518 mcat. Honestly the wait is the worse part.

Good to know! My MCAT unfortunately wasn't nearly that nice :dead: (Only like a 502...) but I have a ton of experience and I'm hoping that that gets through to them more. Maybe another batch will be sent out right at the start of November?

Thank you!!! I think I got lucky during my group activity and group interview in terms of how nice/amicable the other interviewees were. I would just brush up on social determinants of health and look at behavioral/ethical scenario interview questions because those came up a lot. For the individual interview, just know your app really well and know the answers to basic qs like why medicine etc. Don’t stress and be confident—it’s a super relaxed day!!

I answered the questions fine, we shared a couple of smiles/laughter, but I don’t know what to think of this.

For those curious: Just be yourself! You really don’t have to stress the group exercise/interview at all. Just be a kind human and you’ll do amazing, seriously! I cannot overstate this enough.

My individual interview was a little bit awkward too. It just felt like a robotic Q and A, interviewer asked something, I gave what I thought was a good answer (although they were some odd ball questions for sure). And then the interviewer just starts asking the next question. Didn’t feel natural at all.

Probably one of the least conversational interviews I’ve had. Just straight question and answer

This is the exact word I used to describe it to my parents. Robotic. Thank you for making me feel less weird about what is probably just the school's interviewing style! 🙂

That's good to know. From what I saw on this thread, everyone reported an acceptance call got it on the same Friday for the first interview date, but obviously SDN doesn't have every applicant on here.

Also, I don't know about your group, but 10/9 was only 2.5 weeks ago, and we were told we would hear back within 4-6 weeks, so maybe they are just rolling them in slowly? 🙂

I wouldn't say it's tough in terms of having to answer difficult/tricky questions (though their questions involved more MMI-type scenarios than I expected), I think it's more about staying calm and positive even if your interviewer isn't giving you a lot of facial cues and they're not really putting you at ease with conversation lol

Update: got placed on “alternate list” just minutes ago.

Oof. Anyone know what are the chances of coming off this list and getting an A later? Is it essentially their version of a waitlist?

Is the alternate list ranked or unranked? I read from last cycle that it was ranked I believe and that people were getting in from the highest priority list.

It's ranked. They do high, middle, and low tiers and send it out in an email of your tier much later in the cycle. I was on high priority last cycle and never made it off of it...
