I was complete 8/14 and have yet to hear anything, which makes 105 days but who's counting? LOL. I'm not too upset about it because I'm no longer interested in the school, but figured I'd share what my timeline has been like!
i was complete same day and still crickets

I was complete around early Aug and called two weeks ago asking for an update on my app. A few days later I got a II so I don’t think it hurts to call.

Would it be a good idea to email them with an update on my application if it's been over 90 days and I haven't heard from them since the initial review? I have some more scribing experience since I submitted my secondary

I paid my deposit yesterday, but my portal still says the requirement has not been met. Has anyone else experienced a delay in the portal? Or did my payment not get processed correctly? It's due 12/14 so I want to make sure it gets in!

Hi y’all
Super blessed to have been admitted here in the beg of Oct and tomorrow’s the day we have to make deposit.
How ever I got into an MD school
I feel good about both schools however I’d like to hear y’all opinion before the deadline

Please let me know ASAP 🙃🙃🙃

I think at this point it depends on how each school fits your interests. Compare attendance policy, match rates, dress code, campus, etc.

I would send them an update/interest letter. Just make sure you have legitimate “updates”

Just boils down to whether you want an osteopathic or allopathic education and how this would affect your competitiveness for your dream specialty 🙂

I called and spoke to admissions. They said they’re delayed for DO admissions but I’m (11/13 info session) “nearing the end” and should know by the end of the week.
Assuming your info session was after your Kira interview? So if I did my info session 11/20, I may hear by end of next week? Just trying to get some sense of timing....

Is DMU pretty good about financial aid? It estimates a COA of ~70-80K per year on their site.
The financial aid office is SUPER helpful! You can email them or call with any questions and they can help break things down for you. I prefer calling them so they can explain things better 🙂 I would contact them with any questions you have about applying for loans and cost of attendance.

Does anyone know how long till they send an acceptance email after receiving the text? For those curious my stats were cgpa: 3.6 sgpa 3.4 MCAT 512. Good luck to the rest of ya on your interviews and to those waiting!

I got the text at 9:30 and the email at 12:30 so like 3 hours?

It was several hours for me.

Did anyone else get an email saying that their application was forwarded to admissions even though they didn't submit their secondary yet?

I certainly don't mind not spending a couple of hours on a secondary and paying for it, but it seems really odd. 3.45 gpa, 511 mcat, DO/MD letters, lots of scribe work and research in the medical field.

DMU doesn't have a secondary or a fee.

😳🤣 I'm dumb
Nah, I wandered around for a month waiting to get something back from them because my dumb *** forgot I set up a portal with them already and I never checked it again until I got the email from them that I was complete. I thought I was still waiting for them to process my primary. Which they obviously already did because I set up the portal.
Imagine my confusion when I went to set it up a second time and my autofill jumped in. I'm just glad adcoms don't watch what I do in everyday life. 🙈🙈🙈
