Anyone know what time they released decisions last year?

Interviewed 10/7, and I remember Brian initially saying we wouldn't hear back on 10/15, and then when a moderator corrected him and told him it was 10/29, he clarified and said oh, y'all might actually hear back by then LOL. The admissions committee meets on Thursdays, so we probably have to wait until they are done their meeting today to hear :/

We were told in my interview (mid October) that the dates are just an estimate because they may be running behind. I was also told that a lot of students will end up with a deferral, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing

big oof to the dates just being an estimate that's an L for sure. +1 to being told that about deferrals though

I feel like they will be able to put out some decisions today. Otherwise why state that there are "established released dates"? Also +2 for deferrals.

My interview was mid Sept and we were initially told decisions on 10/21 then the portal said 10/29 and now it’s not even on 10/29 😕

Than why even give neurotic pre-meds a date to begin with ahhhhhhh

I’ve been having so much anxiety all day constantly checking my email 🙁 I don’t even know if I will hear back on the “10/29” date since I interviewed on 9/28. But yeah they told us that we would hear back 10/15 but that didn’t happen and if I don’t hear back today I feel like I’m just going to be in a constant state of worry

Saaame. My stress level has been skyrocketing today. Really don’t want to keep waiting and constantly worrying when the decision is going to come in. 🙁

Listen, this process can be stressful, but please try to not let it dominate your life. I felt like I was going insane a month ago, checking emails and portals 20+ times a day, even though I would get notifications from schools right away and nothing would go to spam or clutter

Take a deep breath, and try weaning yourself away from the stress. Start by checking your portals once a day and your email 3 times an day. Morning, afternoon, evening. 99% of the time the email will show up as a notification anyway. Then try checking your portals once a week and checking your email 1-2 a day

Soon enough you will be way less stressed. Neurotically checking increased my stress level considerably, and easing off has lowered it considerably as well

You’re going to be okay, make sure to find time to take care of yourself 🙂

This is much easier said than done. Knowing a life altering decision can be released at a moment's notice at anytime will absolutely cause us to stress out. If someone told me that my decisions would come sometime this week, you bet your butt I will be refreshing my email frequently!

Like I said its a process, try not to be nihilistic about mental health because it's important

Medical school is a marathon and not a sprint, and burning yourself out so early by not taking care of your mental health is not helpful to anyone

This is all true, but we only have so much control over what we stress over 😀. A lot of it is subconscious.

complete 8/19 no communication at all 🙁 OOS but went to undergrad in Philly im so stressed lol

So even if they don’t release decisions today, they should email us about the delay at the very least.
Let’s be honest, if they told all of us we had to do another interview, but this time MMI style we’d do it. I wouldn’t expect something so minor from a school that gets 13,000+ apps and is backed up a bit

Can anyone confirm how many updates DUCOM accepts? In my interview we were told they don’t have a limit to how many updates they accept, just that we would need to email our second and beyond instead of updating them in the portal. On the website, it says they accept one of each type (update letter, CV, and transcript). TIA

IMHO you shouldn't update schools more than three times per cycle

Updates should be fairly significant, so it makes sense that they would say that the first goes to the portal and then the rest go via email
