Got that not so sweet post secondaryl R. They said I did not meet there minimum requirements, which I'm slightly confused about as there are no GPA/MCAT requirements listed. Are they just talking about that average scores?

Pre - II R this morning. I think I was complete late around late October. Very nice of them to give feedback on my app in the rejection email. They did mention at the very end that my stats did not meet their "Minimum requirements". I don't know if this was some sort of copy and past error, but checking their admission data, my stats are above all categories from the matriculants. I'm not saying this means I deserve an interview, but I think my stats meet the minimum requirements lol.

Edit: repetitive words
Just to not leave yall on read, I'm going to be completely honest.. I was surprised to receive an II since my stats are sub-par. But what I emphasized a lot on my app was my passion for primary care, osteopathic medicine, and I have a lot of EC's in community health local/abroad. So maybe when they're saying "minimum requirements" its more than just MCAT/GPA. Good luck to you both though! This path is long and hard but hang in there!

I thought of this, but the way they phrased/structured it made it really sound like they were referring to GPA/MCAT. I sent an email for clarification since they are so open to giving feedback. Maybe it was just poor phrasing.

My app isn't that well suited for primary/rural focused schools, so I'm not surprised they didn't want to offer me an II. I just want to make sure the reason wasn't some error that lead them to think my stats didn't meet min requirements lol.

+1, I have a sub-par MCAT at best but felt my passion for primary care got me the II. On interview day, my interviewer said they are good at finding students who fit their mission and care about that more than metrics alone.

Was just thinking the same thing, but I hear enough of the "oh, I got email/call at [weird time]" that I'm still going to be at least a little on edge lol.

We are all on the same boat, haha. Misery certainly loves company. 🙃

Update: They replied saying that the bullet points are areas my app "could" (they put in bold) be lacking. They then said that one area is not necessarily the definitive answer to why I did not get an II. However under the bullet point for "Competitive GPA and MCAT" they said that they have "determined that minimum requirements have not been met." Sounds pretty definitive to me but I digress lol. They probably copy and paste for these and it was just an error.

Current students, after you were accepted when did you receive instructions for the drug test/background check? Also, do they drug test regularly or often? I noticed we have to pay for each of these test and aren't they spendy?
I think mine was a bit after I was accepted-- maybe like a month or more. Also, I've never been drug tested for PNWU so no, they don't do them regularly but they do reserve the right to do them randomly I believe.

+1 I'm honestly still in a state of disbelief. Spent a lot of time trying to not let my hopes get too high! Congrats, I look forward to being in the same class!
I was called while in the car with my cousin. I’m shaking so much too. I’m in love with this school and love everything they stand for.

Looking forward to seeing you in the Fall!

Do they continue to call throughout the day? I haven't gotten a call and now thinking I'm going to be waitlisted or the R 🙁

UPDATE: THEY CALLED!!! This is a dream, and I'm so excited to meet yall!

Hey everyone had my interview on Thursday as well. Where are you sending thank you letters? Do they even accept them in the first place? I didn't get any emails or anything. Haha and quite honestly one of my interviewers didn't even introduce themselves just went right in it lol (but Im pretty sure I know who they are).

I made a list of all the faculty and presenters and wrote personalized emails to each!

Be honest with me, how likely am I to receive an interview heading into February. Submitted secondaries a week ago, stats are just average

Does anyone have a rough idea of how many people per interview session?

Thank you! So does that mean the group activity is done in breakout rooms or something to make the group smaller?

Oh! It was definitely done in a smaller group. A few days before your interview they will sent you an email with the times each of your interviews will be held. I believe there was around 20 people in my group interview maybe less.

Just got my interview moved again from 3/18 to 2/25!

Update: Just now moved again to 2/10!
Congratulations!!

I have received an II today, and they have given me dates for the interviews, however they were all colored in green except april 8th and below they said I have to choose a date that is NOT green! so I chose april 8th and i feel its too far ahead to wait 2 months now, how did you get your interview moved back??

you're still in the pool!! don't stress out a lot that we are now in February, this year is so different due to covid and virtual interviews.

I submitted my secondary on January 10th and received an II today and my stats are about average as well!

Congrats! You have to mention on the email when you choose your date that you would like to waitlist for sooner dates. Then you’ll be notified via email if you’d like to move your interview (space permitted)

Hi! Congrats on your II! As was previously mentioned, you need to indicate you'd like to be placed on the waitlist for a sooner date. I felt the same way... it was hard to wait and not reach out to inquire about available spots, but I learned they go down the list of interviewees as spaces open up. Given the recent bump up in my interview date, I wouldn't be surprised if you also get bumped soon! Good luck! 🙂

I second this!

I was supposed to interview in Feb, but they bumped me up to late Jan.

Oh ****!

Now I’m fearful again. I got WL at another school and I’m hoping this school snatches me up.

They seem to not select a good portion of their interviews, which is kind of concerning...
I wasn’t aware of the selection rate. Where did you hear that?

Somebody posted up the amount of applications, the amount interviewed and the amount selected.

I think it was about 30-40% ish of the interviewed group that makes the cut.

I’m also kind of on edge because I was recently WL’ed, which is like a R at this point 😛.

Don’t let those stats spook you! There are so many other factors they don’t take into account. It ain’t over til it’s over! 👍🏼

Yeah. Just unsettled over lots of WL stuff. It seems that more people are getting shoved in that direction.

...and I don’t know how my interview went. It felt tense from my perspective.
