Lol yes, to every school I’ve interviewed atHas anyone sent a post-interview letter of interest?
what was the wording that made that implication?Of note, the FA email seemed to imply to me that the interview season is over.
Thought this might be of interest to people still waiting, but you should always check with the admissions office just to be sure!
Not the person you’re replying to, but the email started off “It was great to “meet” you all during the interview season,” implying everyone who got the email had already interviewed and had met the FA director during the interview session. This makes sense, especially since (per post #352) they said they were winding down at the beginning of January.what was the wording that made that implication?
Mmmmm that does not mean the season is over ( tho might be ) it only means that FA email is only going to those who had interviewed. Which there is no reason to send the FA email to those who have not, even if they will be interviewing in the near future. That said this is the top 3 school in the nation hence they have no incentive to extend the interview season even with the pandemic. Not the person you’re replying to, but the email started off “It was great to “meet” you all during the interview season,” implying everyone who got the email had already interviewed and had met the FA director during the interview session. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I mean, I have no special insight into the Penn admissions process, but I think they’re probably done or close to it. The email itself seemed like a heads up about the next stage of the process with info about financial aid q&a. They said at my interview that they were planning on decisions in early March like normal, and that lines up with what they’ve told people who called admissions. Zoom interviews could definitely allow for the same number of interviews as a normal year to be packed in even with the initial delay. And about a month to finalize all decisions for the cycle with a bit of wiggle room seems about right.Mmmmm that does not mean the season is over ( tho might be ) it only means that FA email is only going to those who had interviewed. Last year it was March 2. Personally, I'd guess it's going to be a little later due to covid but not that much later. So when do you guys think the decision release date will be?
I have seen on other threads that Penn is "needy".Does anyone know if Penn is receptive to post-II LOI's (interest OR intent)?
What does this mean?I have seen on other threads that Penn is "needy".
That they love LOIs and expressed interestWhat does this mean?
Means they like getting LOIs before accepting students more than other schools would. What does this mean?
I hope not I need one.Guessing IIs are done here?
I agree!Hey, I actually think this was my favorite rejection letter to read. Definitely more tactful and tasteful than some of the brutes and oafs in charge of writing rejection letters
Agreed! One school told me I wasn’t competitive enough and wished me luckHey, I actually think this was my favorite rejection letter to read. Definitely more tactful and tasteful than some of the brutes and oafs in charge of writing rejection letters
