Pre-II, at least the rejection letter was the most heartfelt one yet
+1 this was the nicest negative thing I have received so far 😿.Hey, I actually think this was my favorite rejection letter to read. Definitely more tactful and tasteful than some of the brutes and oafs in charge of writing rejection letters
+1 complete late JulyPre-II R. Complete 9/11.
Historically it’s been during the first two weeks of March, generally end of the weekanyone know what day decisions are released?
March 2nd as per MSARanyone know what day decisions are released?
I had mid-March work itself into my head from around the time of interviews/financial aid session, but grain of salt that was a busy time for me! I would much prefer March 2 😅March 2nd as per MSAR
I was on the casual side of business casual. I don't *think* anybody is tracking who attends (but it never hurts to look minimally presentable)For folks who attended the financial aid Q&A the last two weeks - what was the dress code? (I had assumed casual but just wanted to make sure 😊)
I actually don't think Penn is needy. That's a rumor that's been going around on here from previous years where they encouraged letters of interest maybe, but this year they did not overtly encourage letters of interest (at least at my interview day).Ok I know we established that Penn is "needy" when it comes to LOI and updates and stuff, but I'm wondering how needy. I sent an update/LOInterest combined after my interview in late November. Do we think they want a second one too?? I don't really have any updates since then, but I could write a paragraph or two about interest.
Yeah i was Oct 9 or something@Local-Chef : you interviewed really early right? mine still worked (around an hour ago), but i interviewed the final week so might not have been fully evaluated idk
Nope, it doesnt do that anymore...Is your portal still having that issue? @Local-Chef
MSAR says like March 2nd or 3rd but Penn usually just goes with “By March 15th.” I applied last year and they released March 2nd thoAre we expecting decisions to be released this Monday, 3/1?

They sent an email saying:Thanks for the tip! Do you remember if they did phone calls or emails for acceptances last year?
They sent an email saying:
“The Committee on Admissions has finalized decisions for the 2020 application cycle. Your status has been updated in the applicant portal: https://pennmed-admissions.med.upenn.edu. Thank you for your interest in the Perelman School of Medicine.”
And then you log into the portal. From there, you’re either accepted or waitlisted. I wouldn’t know what the acceptance looks like 🙁
Only accepted or waitlisted? do they not reject at this point? They sent an email saying:

when do you think that they will notify decisions?I applied last year
March 2-5thwhen do you think that they will notify decisions?
I’m pretty confident it will be Tuesday or WednesdayWell, this week could potentially be the week of decisions! Good luck to everyone!
Last year I think the calls went on Monday!I’m pretty confident it will be Tuesday or Wednesday
MSTP and MD come out at the same time. And Dr. Brass’s email saying “later this week” was probably meant to be taken literally, as in “sometime after Sunday”. I’m pretty confident its gonna be Tuesday or WednesdayIt was from Dr. Brass (MSTP), but he said the "med school" will release decisions "later this week". If you didn't get the email, it is probably because you are MD. But the letter sounded like it applied to both MD and MSTP. It was sent to all MSTP students, so it wasn't meant to imply anything about the receiver's candidacy!

Last year it seems that MD acceptances got calls and then next day everyone got a notification on the portal. But every other year, so 2019 and prior it was just an email to check the portal. For MD, do they call or email?
