Guys. If you go under review and do not immediately get invited for an interview, you are placed on hold automatically. It's not like a hold at other schools - this is the equivalent of silence from most places. I received a hold and then received my II a week later. Thousands of people have gotten the hold.

My application status just says submitted 8/10..when they're reviewing my app will the status just change on the portal, or will I get an email?

Your application status will not change in the portal or by email when they are reviewing your application. If they make a decision (interview, interview waitlist, or possibly rejection), you will get an email and the communication tab of the portal will change.

Is this really how it works? The language used in the II waitlist email specifies something along the lines of "we have determined you are a competitive candidate", I can't imagine they send this email to everyone who doesn't immediately get an interview. I have been wrong before though, I guess I am trying to be positive since I have been put on a waitlist by this school.

I honestly don't think everyone gets placed on the II waitlist. They probably only place competitive candidates (like it says in the email you got) on the waitlist so if you haven't gotten this email or an email for an II then either they haven't reviewed your app yet or unfortunately you are probably getting rejected (although I don't think UA sends pre-II R's until way later in the cycle)

I was complete 8/10 and I see an OOS candidate was placed on II waitlist when they were complete 8/9..I am so curious about whether I'm in that R pile or if I haven't been reviewed yet LOL

They release II waitlists in batches, once per week.

It could definitely be that you just weren't reviewed yet. I wouldn't worry about it too much, it's still very early and they have a lot more (like thousands more) OOS apps to go through than IS.

I wouldn't say so, it seems like they've only sent out 30 interview invites so far, so it's very early!

They have sent 90 according to what they said in last week's interview. I assume they are sending 30 more each week

They wasted no time in sending the secondary after I applied here. They did take about a month to confirm they finished reviewing me and put me on the WL, but if you can get the secondary in before Labor Day, it'll still be considered "early". If you apply right now, you have a week!!! Also, even if you get waitlisted, they could send you an interview two weeks later so they're very on top of it, which explains the 30 interviews every week. I say go for it! I'm OOS as well 😛

150 total II sent out at this point according to the tracker, I wonder if many of those were sent out today. Haven't seen much action on here today. Personally, I was WLed a while back, OOS no ties. I check back every thursday to see if Ill get lucky :,(

Hey, it's okay! I think they might have just updated the tracker, someone else said they send out about 30 II's a week. Don't fret! If you don't mind me asking, what are your stats/ECs like?

They did. Again I remind yall, it's not a regular hold like other schools. I got pulled off the hold after one week for my II.
