I am so sorry man:/
its ok. i wasnt feeling great to begin with honestly, even though i felt good about my interview. this really was my number one choice, and as it looks now, the only option i may have had. i have nine other secondaries completed since early to mid july and no II from any of them lol

Make you feel better , I haven’t gotten any II yet anywhere. I love to practice in Central Valley or IE so this school is my top choice too

i got an R. i dont understand why, i wish they would tell me. all they say of course is that they have so many applicants and they cant conceivably accept all of them.

You can email them, and find out🙂 like ask how to improve

Anyone having difficulty submitting the secondary application? My payment is not being reflected on the AMP Portal, although it is acknowledged on my recent bank statement. Any help would be appreciated!
I had the same problem too! And unfortunately, I submitted my payment twice because I thought it was a problem on my end. But it’s not. It will take a few days for the system to reflect the changes and send you a complete email. So please don’t submit another payment like me! I got charged twice and have been emailing their office for a refund on the second payment but no one is replying back, will have to call directly. Good luck!

Marked complete on 09/28, how long did it take for most of y'all to get an II after that complete email?

I didn't realize this school was for-profit. Any thoughts regarding that?

i hadn't realized this until you mentioned it, surprised (not) that it's nowhere on their website. I like how their new osteopathic website has a brochure that advertises their competitive tuition when it's like $55k a year, up there with CCOM....
It definitely bumps them a couple spots down on my list, but in the end, a medical degree is a medical degree. At least they don't have issues with their accreditation like Northstate...

Current student here, the for profit status seems to have helped get them off the ground quicker. The family who founded the school are big time members of the Fresno area and started the school in order to improve health disparities in the Central Valley. As for tuition, I implore you to find better private medical school tuition in California, and cost of living out here is awesome. Also if it makes anyone feel better I’ve heard rumblings of a non-profit status coming. Those might just be rumors or not.

Current 1st year. Turned down another acceptance to go here. Loving it and happy to be here. Ask away if you have any questions.

Biggest pros/cons of the school?
I know I wasn't asked but since it's been a while I'll reply as well lol. i am also a first-year here and I would say the pros are its a brand new school so facilities are updated and nice, the professors may not all be fantastic but they all want you to succeed, and the school will do its best to support you since they also have a stake in making sure you don't fail (being a new school and all probably not a good look if the students aren't doing well lol). Cons I would say are sometimes because it is a new school they are still feeling out what does and doesn't work and what is or isn't beneficial which sometimes means you end up doing things that seem to be a waste of time or a class isn't organized in a way that makes perfect sense to us, but tbh that I chalk up to being a new school and us being their second class. We benefited from the trial of the '24 class as next years will benefit from us. They have already made changes between the two years that have greatly increased quality and I see for the most part a good commitment to improving on those further. But having the school and deans and professors actually wanting you to succeed and helping you personally with that I would say is an extreme benefit in this case. Feel free to PM or ask more on here if you have any other ?s

Do they only have preference for Central Valley applicants? I feel ghosted since sending my secondary on 9/11 and I was wondering since I am Norcal.

From the demographics of my class, I can say they look for people from the central valley for sure, but it by no means is a deciding factor, we have people from new york, Wisconsin, Florida, Massachusetts etc. I personally was from Nor cal with no ties specifically to CV, but there are people from all over. You could always reach out to admissions to make sure they received your secondary?

It shows that my application has been marked complete on the portal. I know that it also took them about 2 weeks to mark it complete after I submitted the secondary. I could reach out to admissions, but they will be like check your portal. lol

Fair point, well as long as you haven't gotten an R id say you are in good shape 🙂 I know people were interviewing up into may and june and I know others who were accepted a couple days before orientation so there is plenty of time still!

Just received this random email… very confused. Anyone else
