II here as well! OOS, WARS in the low 80s, complete late September.
+1 except August submitterII here as well! OOS, WARS in the low 80s, complete late September.
I was wondering about this. Seeing that there were 217 OOS matriculants out of 812 OOS interviews, we could make some assumptions. Clearly the post-II is not 26.7%. Usually schools admit 2-3 times their class size. If they were aiming to get around 217 OOS matriculants, we could assume they admitted around 434 or 651 OOS people, for post-II acceptance rate of 53.4% - 80.2%! Now, Creighton is an amazing school, but its lower rank compared to, say, T20s, probably means the estimate would lean towards 3 times their class size (unless they are really good at picking their interviewees!). But this is all speculation.II today as well! So excited I love this school! What is the post-II acceptance rate does anyone know?
Also congrats to all the A's + II's this cycle so far!

I think pretty high! They really only waitlist or accept based on the presentation they gave and what’s been reported on here
Any intel on waitlist movement?
Congrats!!! Would you mind sharing your general stats?OOS II was received yesterday as well. Late August Submission.
How long did it take for you to receive the confirmation email after you submitted the form on the portal? To my accepted friends: when does Creighton email with groupme and fb info? I received the deposit and acceptance confirmation email about 3 days ago

I think 2 days! How long did it take for you to receive the confirmation email after you submitted the form on the portal?
Hey all, is it possible to change campus preferences once you are admitted? Thank you!
Thank you!! I emailed them 🙂Yes! I believe you email admissions, but if they have admitted their number for each campus you’ll be put on a waitlist for that campus switch
Yes i do remember them saying this and they said to email their admissions emailI remember from interview week it was said we can schedule a time to come to campus if we could not make it to an admitted students day. Is this correct if anyone else remembers/in similar situation?
Also, where can I find the link to schedule the admitted students day/look over the dates?I remember from interview week it was said we can schedule a time to come to campus if we could not make it to an admitted students day. Is this correct if anyone else remembers/in similar situation?
They emailed me with an invite. You can probably go ahead and email them about it if you haven’t received one yet. Also, where can I find the link to schedule the admitted students day/look over the dates?
I can’t remember when they were going to review WL candidates. I think it was this week!Has anyone gotten off the WL
Has anyone gotten off the WL
Don’t worry about it. I also sent in a letter that contained diff info and they didn’t care i think.I just wrote an entire update letter for Creighton with research, clinical, and shadowing updates only to click submit update and see all the different categories pop up on the submission page 🤦♂️. I figure I can't just submit that all in one update yeah? I also only have like 3-4 sentences about each activity just to fit it all on one page. For those who updated, did you submit multiple categories of updates and write a lot about them? I should've known it would be some different format or something since it's their own unique portal lol. Thanks in advance for any responses.
Yes! My update was post interview, and during the interview info session, they rly highlighted having hours/dates down. I used approximate hours and dates and it seems that was fine as wellI imagine though you still added the dates and hours like it says to? Then just picked one of the categories and sent it in?
Yeah that was my understanding, the advisor told me to get my update in by the 2nd. An MS2 told me the meetings were on Thursdays and then during the info session they said the 9thI believe today was the day they said that waitlisted applicants would hear back, only if they got an acceptance. Has anybody heard back/does anyone know if many people even come off the waitlist in January?

It seems like the school emails accepted students with the link? I haven’t received anything thoughNot sure if I’ve missed it, but has someone made a class GroupMe or Facebook group yet?
Congratulations on getting an II and waitlisted. There is a lot of waitlist movement after the applicant commitment dates in the spring. I think after the class is seated that Creighton is one of the very few schools that provides the investment of time and courtesy of providing applicants feedback on how to further strengthen their application in their purview, eg where it fell short of acceptance relative to those that did make it over the hump and get acceptance. This is very valuable information if your are planning a second cycle and in particular for you as a reapplicant to CUSM.Has anyone on waitlist sought feedback from admissions? How did the process usually go?
Did you get feedback from your application last year from Creighton and strengthen those areas?II just now, I was waitlisted there last year so this was super exciting!
The term you are looking for is "yield", eg how many acceptances must Creighton Med give out to actually fill 230 seats.... Admissions could provide the yield number, but the average of allopathic schools runs about 40% of those accepted will attend. Thus for every 10 acceptances, 4 students will end up attending. So maybe 575 acceptances go out to fill 230 seats? So 6,388 applications result in 842 interviews which result in 575 acceptances to fill 230 seats or something like that. Plenty of people have great interviews, get waitlisted and eventually get an acceptance down to the wire. Interview Acceptance Rate is about 68%, assuming a 40% yield. An overall acceptance rate of about 9%, 1 of 9 applicants will get accepted. Even getting an interview is a huge accomplishment! When interviewing, just remember Which School you are interviewing with and which program (PhD, MD, Optometry, Pharmacy etc. :> .... it happens.II today as well! So excited I love this school! What is the post-II acceptance rate does anyone know?
Also congrats to all the A's + II's this cycle so far!
As there are still interview for 1st pass going on and they may save open seats to accept some of those candidates, I would think the likelihood of getting off the waitlist before interviewing is completed may be light. In April when acceptances are narrowed to 3 then to 1 is when there is a ton of waitlist movement. By law the Medical Schools can not have more acceptances outstanding than they have open seats. EG in the past there was a school that overbooked and they all wanted to attend, what to do then? Big Trouble.Has anyone gotten off the WL
They can't send out more acceptances than available seats? I may be misunderstanding you here, but all medical schools send out WAY more acceptances than the number of seats available just because it is logical that not all accepted students will enroll. Do you mean after the accepted students pay their deposits and commit to enroll, then they cannot accept more students if the seats are filled? Do you know more about how that process works and when they decide to start pulling from the waitlist? As there are still interview for 1st pass going on and they may save open seats to accept some of those candidates, I would think the likelihood of getting off the waitlist before interviewing is completed may be light. You may want to subscribe and be specific to the pre-defined format. Medicine is about detail and instructions, fail to do either patients may die. If you are providing updates to enhance your likelihood to get an II or off a waitlist that is good. I would suspect an applicant providing an update indicates they are very much interested in Creighton which schools like (they get 8,000 applications)! An update may trigger something for Admission to review on a report, eg update provided that may provide the impetus for a second look at your file with Admissions. An example may be if you just passed Biostats or Orgo with an A when your semester ended in December. Completed additional, major body of research. Did an additional 100 hours of shadowing. etc. In particular if you suspect certain areas of your application were light and you strengthened them in the last 6 months since you applied.I just wrote an entire update letter for Creighton with research, clinical, and shadowing updates only to click submit update and see all the different categories pop up on the submission page 🤦♂️. "Outstanding" acceptances cannot be more than seats available. They will eventually send out more acceptances than seats available, but only after some students "decline" acceptances they are no longer outstanding and open up seats for acceptance to someone else off the waitlist. They can not be put in the position where immediately the send out 600 acceptances for 240 seats and have 300 show up to the first day of class. From memory several years ago some medical school got in big trouble because they were only licensed for a certain number of seats and had to many acceptances and had to offer money for accepted and attending students to defer a year, which is why I think they made the rules about overbooking. They can't send out more acceptances than available seats? yes, i had a meeting with an admissions counselor and emailed back and forth a bit last year, and i just had my interview this week (somehow i got the director of admissions which was terrifying) and he mentioned that aspect of my application was strong, so fingers crossed!Did you get feedback from your application last year from Creighton and strengthen those areas?
