I'm confused, you applied and didn't hear back, or you interviewed and never heard back?
i think they interviewed since they said interviewer was 20 mins late...
probably interviewed on 9/30

Do you guys think we will be hearing back this friday or next friday if our interview was in October?

So I applied 9/30 and I still haven't heard back. This has been one of the worst schools to respond in a timely manner not to mention that my interviewer was 20 minutes late... Did any of you have a similar experience for NYIT-Jonesboro??
My experiences have been the opposite. The responses have consistently been timely (same day or less than 24 hours), and my interviewer was on time.
There was some confusion about the link for my interview, but it was resolved quickly, and the interviewer was both understanding and positive.

I've interviewed and I haven't heard back yet.. Should I have heard back already?
A small group heard back around mid October. From last years thread, I don't think the next batch will be out until the 2nd week of November... which is next week... I just realized how soon it is while typing this... 🙂

Would it be a bad idea to send in a post interview letter of intent before the October interview decisions come out next week?

I don't think it's ever a bad idea to tell a school how much you're interested in them as long as you truly are interested. 👍

Has anyone received a WL or R? Or have the only responses been As so far?

I interviewed today, does anyone know how long it may take until I hear back?

I interviewed 8/31 and didn’t hear back until 10/14, but to be fair i don’t think they sent anything before october. I’d say a prob a couple weeks

I think you're most likely to hear back in December if it's an A. January for a WL or R. That being said, you could hear back sooner...

Good luck! Positive thoughts and all that!

A!!!!!!!! Interviewed 09/30. I was at work, and my wife brought me a slice of cheesecake from cheesecake factory with a "Congratulations" chocolate on top (I gave her access to my email, so we'd know asap)! She recorded it too! SO many positive emotions! Good Luck to all those still waiting!!

This is so wholesome! Congratulations!

I interviewed this week, does anyone know about when I can expect to hear back?

made a GroupMe here! I am not very active on fb though so someone else may have to make that. If there is already an established GroupMe, let me know

Got the A email on 11/11, interviewed 10/19. My interview was so fast within 15 minutes, so I thought I bombed it LOL

Are there any pervious/current students or anyone who attended an information session that can tell me about how the course work is delivered? I'm accepted there, but from what I have seen it looks like the lectures are all delivered by streaming from the NY campus. Is this how the course work is actually delivered? If it is how was the experience?

Sign into the info session tomorrow afternoon. Can probably still register on their website - doing a q and a session.

The last info session I saw was for Nov 7th, and the next one I see is for Feb 27th. Did you get an email about another one? (I probably missed it at this point...)

Edit to above: It was on the university's event page. Linked here: Events | College of Osteopathic Medicine | New York Tech

Current OMS-I at the Jonesboro campus. Almost all of our lectures this semester have been previously recorded by faculty at our campus and were disseminated to both campuses. For neuroanatomy in the spring, the faculty members who predominantly lecture for that course are based out of Jonesboro. Lectures recorded by NY faculty have not been an issue as they are very responsive and reply to email quickly are usually willing to set up a same day Zoom call with individuals or study groups.

OMS-4 here, during my time they did a live stream and the recordings would be uploaded the same or next day. Now its all pre-recorded, posted the week before on their video hosting service and its up to you to watch them at your own pace. I tried my best to attend the lectures in person but had no issue with watching them online since I can 2x them anyways. Lectures were more social and a way to keep my routine together rather than a significant means of learning the material(Everyone is different).

EDIT: LECTURES ARE ALL ONLINE NOW, NO IN PERSON LECTURES

If you are someone who does not do well with self direction and needs to be guided in what to learn and when to watch lectures, then the current curriculum will not be ideal for you. Many struggling students that I tutor and mentor seem to have problems with self guidance around what they should be learning and how they should be learning.

So just to confirm, the current lecture material is delivered asynchronously? I was also wondering about Anatomy lab --do we actually get to dissect or is it using an online platform?

Asynchronous as in they give you next weeks lecture as one batch. Not the entire semester.

Anatomy is dissection lab in person with additional prelab lectures

Is there a dress code? Like a specific scrub color?

@SomaticDysFUNction2020 @docq0194
We only wear pink on Wednesdays. If you don’t, straight to the AOA president.

In all seriousness: most wear scrubs of their choosing(no requirement in regards to color or type) around campus. Technically you should wear ‘OMM’ attire for OMM: shorts and t-shirt. And doctor patient relationship has ‘DPR attire’ which is just business casual or scrubs with a white coat. And OSCEs require professional clothes with white coat.

So TLDR: scrubs most of the time. Have your white coat handy. Except in OSCE testing situation and maybe OMM.

I'm a little confused. So they give you next week's lecture as one batch but then do you also have in person lecture over the same material or is in person to ask questions if you didn't understand a concept or something?
