Does anyone know if the acceptance offer is binding ?
I believe it potentially could be depending on your situation. UIWSOM does use the AACOMAS traffic guidelines. Today marks a deposit deadline for those who hold multiple DO school acceptances. See below!

Does anyone know if the acceptance offer is binding ?
It's not binding as you may change your mind if you get a subsequent offer from a different school.
However, most people will accept their first offer.
If you later decide to change to somewhere else, you will lose the nonrefundable deposit.
Dropping one school for another later requires direct communication from the applicant to both schools within the AACOMAS guidelines.

Quick question for you, or if anyone else knows the answer. This is assuming someone gets into a school after paying this deposit but before April 1st.

If you have two acceptances and have paid two deposits and dropped one before the April 1st reporting time do you need to still inform BOTH schools? I.e. do we need to tell one school that we are withdrawing and the other that we intend to attend that school even before it's officially reported?

Yes, and for AACOMAS schools they do not want you to have 2 deposits in at the same time (except very temporarily).
A story line :
You deposit at school A
School B offers you a place and you are very tempted & need to think and discuss.
You decide to accept school B and tell them yes. You double check their deposit deadline. ☠️
You tell school A sorry, but…you are withdrawing to go to a school that fits your goals better
You deposit at B before their deadline.

Just received an II from this school after completing in September. I already have some A's at other schools out of state. I like the others more school-wise, but love the idea of staying in texas. Should I bother with the interview or just hold on to the A's I already have?
I would! It doesn't hurt to try and even if you don't get accepted after the II, you can still brag about being accepted to one more school on top of the others you got A's from.

happy adventure time GIF

Does the email subject line read differently for admitted students vs waitlisted or rejected?

Just got an interview! I thought I was completely ghosted since I was complete back in July! Does anyone know what the chances of getting an acceptance is this late into the cycle? Are we interviewing for a waitlist at this point
Not at all, they are a little behind schedule this year and will interview through April if they follow their prior pattern

When and how are y'all interviewing?
got the interview invite today and my session is jan 28th. I kinda selected the first available date without looking at whether it was virtual or in-person. turns out its in-person, which I'm actually happy about.

okay so I'm reading through this thread and it seems like a lot of people ended up withdrawing. Can anyone who withdrew their acceptance shed light (either here or through private message) on why they did so? I'd like to stay well-informed about this school before I go in to interview and I think having this perspective would be invaluable.

I withdrew due to being accepted into a more established program in my state of residence and would like to remain in my state after medical school.

A lot of them had several DO offers, or got an MD offer and withdrew from all their DO schools.

My first II of the cycle. Can I PM someone about the MMI format? The first available spot was in February. Hope that is not too late 🙁
congrats! when were you complete? also stats?

Just got an II as well! Complete 8/31. Does anyone know how many people they interview a day? Thank you in advance.

I think there were about 40-50 students on my interview day, split up into 6 different MMI circuits/groups with about 6-8 stations..I believe that’s how they split it up

Is this an interview hold?

I received an interview invite a couple days ago. But when i try to schedule an interview (which are all in March) it says i can only select the option for session 1, which is in person. & I’d like to do a virtual interview. What should I do?
