I was accepted to the Omaha campus but am interested in the Phoenix campus primarily because it is much closer to home (2 hr flight vs 6 hour flight). Is there anything to be concerned about with switching over to the newer campus from the POV of PDs or any other factors?

Should be fine. They said the sooner the easier to switch. I will be vacating my Phoenix acceptance in April probably so they'll be at least one spot there for you.

I'm sure if you asked the admissions office if you could schedule a tour since you can't make it to second look they would try to accommodate you! They seem pretty friendly. Good luck with UofA!

Nope. Thank you message disappeared and received decision on Monday around 11 (Omaha). I never saw the admitted students day RSVP.

This happened to me! You'll receive the acceptance email shortly, I'm sure. I was a bit confused as well but I know that's happened a few times now.

If you already submitted an update for one category (like clinical experiences) and want to send a second update letter, does anyone know if it re-writes / replaces the first one? My second letter is completely unrelated to the first one so I want both to be there but I'm afraid of submitting it in case it does replace it.

Does anyone know how financial aid works? How long after acceptance do you get a financial aid packet or scholarship?

I called the financial aid office a few days ago; they mentioned that they'll starting pulling information from your FAFSA near the end of January and hoping to provide financial aid packet sometime in February (can't remember if they said a few weeks or a month). From what it seems like, scholarships are handled by a different person/office and I'm not too sure what the timeline for that looks like.

252 matriculated. Estimates are between ~55-70% post-II acceptance

I think the 252 refers to the total number of students who ended up matriculating for both the Omaha and the Phoenix campuses combined. They always accept more at least 1.5-2x class size I would guess and congrats on the interview by the way!

I don't think it matters what campus the interviewers were from IIRC. I only found out the campus once I got the A

I preferenced phoenix and interviewed with a student and staff member from the phoenix campus. n=1 though

I second this, during my interview I remember hearing the admissions committee does not know or factor in the campus preference. Even the interviewers did not know it. The school also seemed very flexible in terms of wanting to do their best to ensure accepted students get their preferences during the interview and reminded us to email them if our campus preference changed before getting a decision.

Other than location, weather, COL, etc., does anyone think there’s any difference whatsoever between the Omaha and Phoenix campus? I’m talking difference with research opportunities or exposure to various specialties? I have NO idea which campus to choose and NO idea which field of medicine I want to pursue, so I just want to keep my options as open as possible. Things like location matter very little to me.
