2023-2024 Georgetown

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
hey! new user here 🙂 I have a 515 mcat, 3.7 gpa, and submitted 7/10. given GUSOM’s cycle, do I have any chance of still getting an interview? have been feeling a little dejected.
You absolutely have a chance. If you look through last years SDN forum for GU, it looks like there were some early submitters who scored an II in the first week of September.

Is it better to write how I've improved as a re-applicant in the "is there anything else" or maybe a community drive I ran during COVID that didn't really get mentioned on my AMCAS?

For anyone else who just got an interview do they not have a box to select an interview date? I only see the time options but not what date the interview would be scheduled for.

This is all it shows for me. Will they decide the exact date of the interview?

I knew this followup question was coming LOL
Curious if you know how they actually got the data for the 2021 sheet? Could only come from straight AAMC or going to each school directly I'm assuming.

If you're talking about some spreadsheet that seems to be making the rounds, I don't curate that and I don't know the source of the numbers on it, so I usually refer people to the MSAR.
I know MSAR only lists number of matriculants, not number accepted which is always larger.

for those who got iis, does your status say "application ready" or "application under review" etc?

I wonder this too. I've heard it's not exactly accurate and that for a good number of the schools the post-II acceptance rates are a lot lower. But one can hope!

Has anyone done one of the Georgetown interview presentation days and knows what we should expect? I’m guessing it’s just an information session but am wondering if there is a group activity or anything like that. Thanks!

Also wondering this!

Do you guys know if update letter are received well this early in the process? I started a new job and wanted to update adcoms but am unsure

select no, it is Georgetown specific- GUSOM will see where you are doing your undergrad in your AMCAS application
I just happened to be on my portal and realized I goofed and said "yes" and then other and wrote down the name of my current masters program. Now the question reads "Georgetown University" program instead of "any program"; should I email admissions about this? or assume they can realize I made a mistake. I just don't want to seem like I tried to be dishonest since the question is more specific now.

Mine still says "application ready"
hey, I see you're a vet - I'm AD. Did you happen to have an online degree? I did 90 in-person credits in undergrad before transferring to AMU to finish my degree since I needed to distance learn during some mil operational stuff. All pre-reqs and labs were done in person, post-bacc done in person, also currently in an in-person MS Biology. Curious if they'll auto-R me because my undergrad institution is online even though I only took 30 credits there
