My sympathies. My secondary was submitted in late June. Silence too thus far.

I hope / think we still have a chance though since UIWSOM does screen apps. They don’t give everybody one.

Go in-person if you can. It will help you the most to choose later if you get more than one acceptance, and it helps them know you better.

No such thing as a dumb question! I don’t know if anyone could confidently say what their process is like, but my attitude is no news is good(ish) news. If I haven’t heard anything yet, I take that as they’re still considering! Don’t give up hope yet, still a lot of cycle left.

Past history is a good indicator if they had been consistent in following a process including pre II Rs. So one has to go back previous years' threads to see if it happened.

TMDSAS schools usually dont reject until the end although some newer schools have gone through Pre II Rs (university of Houston for a year at least). This school does not fall under TMDSAS.

they open up more dates as earliest dates fill.
Send a polite email saying you aren't able to attend an in-person interview on 12/8 , but could they schedule you for a virtual interview?
Be sure you have your calendar at your side to tell them what date ranges would be possible for you.

I believe all the virtual interviews are full until January. Are you seeing those pop up on your end?

They do prefer you to interview in person and said there would be a limited number of virtual interviews, I believe.
So, @legallyblondemed it is up to you to wait for an answer to your inquiry to UIWSOM. If you want to interview with them, you can find a time and place.

As an aside, could doing an in-person interview help get an A? Granted, I don’t even have a II yet, but I’m trying to figure out a way to avoid a post-II R - something that seems kinda common with the school.
