Did anyone else notice that other interview dates opened up? I registered for 10/31 before bc it was the only one available, but now it's showing 9/04 and 10/02 available.

I saw that last week. I would move mine up but I already have flights and a hotel booked.

You don't think that being at the end of the interviews will work against us? I'm think of just taking the hit and changing the date.

do you need all your prereqs completed to receive an interview or does it just have to be done before matriculation

They need to be done before matriculation but make sure to put in your application a plan to complete those prerequisites!

No I would just send them an email letting them know you plan on taking the certain courses if you have not put it on your accomas application as a planned course for a future semester.

Congrats! When did you interview?
Question- since you went for the in person interview, what was your overall impression of the staff and school? How about the area?
TBH i was actually impressed with the school they seem to have stuff together for being so new. The faculty was very diverse and I could tell they cared about students. Also with them being attached to baptist health system I know they have their own GME residencies which is beneficial. Memphis was nice it had a small town vibe but in a big city. I think I would be happy there

I submitted my primary and got an email saying "as you move forward with the BUCOM application process, please be sure to submit all supporting application materials". My question is should i do anything else or just wait for a secondary?

what was the interview like? mine is next week and this is my top school!

I was really impressed! The interview was MMI. This was my first MMI format interview so I was a little nervous, but they made the process go very smoothly. The interviewers were all very nice. Even with MMI format, it was very conversational. They really do just want to get to know you. The faculty and staff were very kind. Their passion for their students really radiates through the school. I went in a complete ball of nerves, but they very quickly calmed those nerves. I was super impressed by the entire day! Great school, great people, and great program!

You’re going to do great and I wish you the best of luck with your interview!

thank you so much! I have never done MMI either. Is it like scenarios like situational questions or are they just trying to get to know you? Also what did you wear to your interview lol i am so new to this

How long did it take to hear back after your interview?

It’s a mix of both. The general feeling, even with the situational questions, was that they want to get to know you. I was able to answer the question and still have a follow up conversation within the allotted time.

I wore a suit with a white blouse under it and some flats. Everyone in my group basically wore the same. Black, gray, or blue suits with a white or neutral shirt underneath!

i was a small odd ball out on my interview day. i wore a blue suit with a blue and white patterned dress shirt underneath, with light brown shoes and and “fun” dress socks. everyone else wore black, gray, or blue suits but with plain white dress shirt and black shoes. obviously i was still dressed up but i didn’t wanna be wearing the same as everyone else. if you were a classic suit or pant suit that’s appropriate for an interview you will be fine. but definitely dress up!

Quick question, I have an interview scheduled for November 13th, but i saw they have dates that have opened up earlier. Has anyone switched their interview date? And if so, do you just do it on your portal under the interview tab?

i’ve heard of people that have done that, and other people that I interviewed with also told me that they were called when spots opened up

Idk if there are any current students who check up on this chat but did y’all send thank you notes to all your MMI interviewers or someone specific?

question- do they accept AP credit for prerequisites?

Wow Congrats guys!!!!! 🥳🥳 when were y’all complete??
Thank you!! Not sure about when I was complete but I know I received an interview invite August 9th and I got the invite pretty quick after I submitted my secondary. Took me a while to pay the secondary fee because I was broke.
