Question for everybody. This is really not a brag but a genuine fear. My MCAT is high above the average of ECU at a 520+, and looking on MSAR for last year I see they did not admit anyone that high. I am worried that I am getting yield protected, but this is a school I would really attend if offered to go there. I love Greenville and I have informally toured the health sciences campus and I like it there too. Should I reiterate my desire to go to this school in a letter or email to office of admissions?
FWIW…my LM is ~83 and I got an II yesterday!

If I interviewed on 9/28 and have not heard anything, should I assume I’ve probably been rejected?

Anyone who interviewed 10/29 or 11/5 hear any news? I was really hoping to hear something yesterday.

The website says two individual interviews, does that mean 1 on 1 interviews? and Is it faculty only or faculty and student interviewers?

Thanks so much!

Two 1-on-1 interviews (50 minutes each). I believe they are always with faculty members, that was the case for my interview!

Is there a difference between hold and waitlist? I got an email that I’m on hold but no mention of a waitlist

Can someone send the accepted groupme again please? - the link isn't working for me

I have recently been accepted elsewhere but I’m still very interested in ECU… still haven’t received II… I must submit the deposit to the place I’ve been accepted by 1/15/25… what do I do? Deposit is huge ($1500) so I don’t want to waste it.

Even if you get an interview you wouldn’t find out your decision by the day the other deposit is due. I’d bite the bullet and pay the deposit

I say pay the deposit, and if you lose it you lose it. I know it's a lot of money, but at the end of the day with the amount of loans you will have to take out for medical school, it's a drop in the bucket to secure your spot somewhere.

Unfortunately, a lot of applicants are in your same spot and many people sit on waitlists at places til may but have to pay deposits for other schools much sooner than that. At least then you'll know that if nothing else works out, you're in somewhere and can rest assured you won't have to do a re-app.

Nah you’re totally right. I thought the same thing about it but the amount of money gave me pause. Welp… guess I’m gonna bite the bullet and cry 😭 but hey at least I have a spot so maybe I won’t cry after all lmao
