IMO, it is not our fault that the schools are competitive. It is the schools that chose to have limited seats causing the strain in the process. The news and hospital claims the complaint of not having enough physicians to fill the aging population of the medical professionals while the same folks trying to cap the number of students being accepted for training in the new batch each year. Honestly, there should not have a waitlist in place to begin with because the current accepted and waitlisted both are already qualified and fit for the program, but we all know they have to do it because of the cap in the number of seats. The schools should have welcomed all of the us who took the time, money, and effort to sacrifice our spring to help taking care of the population health en masses.
