i didn’t get any acceptance so only holding on because just waiting for a potential A from the school i’m waitlisted from 🥲

I don't want to be rude, but I wouldn't stake THAT much in what I wrote. Not to say you shouldn't keep any hope, even I'm holding out just a little bit, but we're past mid-June. The waitlist email came really late and if things do move along at a reasonable pace according to historic trends, most of us will be wrapping up things like finding housing, buying furniture, and general pre-orientation stuff. That is quite literally what I'm doing right now.

Also, in my personal opinion, at that point unless it's truly your dream school and there's a substantial advantage to re-uprooting the plans you've already accepted and made, you've pretty much committed to wherever you're set to go. I wouldn't know how I would feel about a complete u-turn at that point. Would it even be worth it? I'm personally not sure but I know it'd be incredibly taxing on me. In my case, I'd feel a great amount of disdain for the situation I'm being put through. God forbid, I'm already across the country when I hear back, stuff's all moved in, and now I have some pre-med waitlist decision presented in front of me.

Next year. If ur stats are good enough to get WL’d they good enough to try again next cycle instead of going international. Just apply earlier and boost wherever u can.

It does track. It took around 2 weeks for the first WL movements to happen for that 2022-2023 cycle right after the "class is full" email.

Can you say what the context of that was? bc a couple days ago they said "class is full, we dont know when we'll pull from WL", why July so randomly?

But also yeah more random tidbits admissions gives us. It's exhausting. Sometimes, they speak to you like it's so tiresome for them to answer these questions.

more so the same. i’m going to a medical mission trip in first week of july so my letter was mainly that if i do have any update to my apps to send an email since i wont have access to phone call. and i also noted a program the person i interview with mentioned and how i was really interested and a bit about the mission program as well

Can confirm they will give you that answer...we can't call them, can't email them...they'll give you nothing.

My bad, NYIT. I didn't know I couldn't ask admissions questions to the ADMISSIONS people. What a concept.

My worry is that even if I get off last minute, if this is how the school handles the admission process, idk if it’s a representation of the academic support we’re in for the next 4 years :/

So I tried calling (again, for the...I'm not going to say how many times already) and the office is closed today.

Did some digging and the school is on some staff retreat. I'm guessing they won't be back until Monday.
