Anyone who is a student can tell me about rotation sites? I know you rank your preference and you get matched to one but I don't get where their Michigan rotation sites are. The website simply says Detroit Consortium. Does that mean any of the usual hospitals around Midtown like DMC, the VA, and Kermanos?

The Michigan site is literally whatever outpt office they can scrounge up at the time. There is no home base and you're not affiliated with any hospital. It's essentially all outpt.

Really? So it's not realistic to think I will be able to spend most of 3rd year in Michigan?

are interviews specific to campus or how does that work? i remember ranking them at some point (maybe during the secondary) but the II doesn't say anything specific to either campus. for anyone who was accepted or already interviewed- can you share more about this please?

Hi there! I interviewed and was accepted back in September so I can answer this for you!
So NSU KPCOM is basically one large school split between 2 campuses (Tampa Bay and Ft. Lauderdale). What I mean by this is that the 2 campuses share professors/ classes via virtual methods between the 2 campuses, but students at both campuses basically learn the same things simultaneously.
Therefore, because they consider the 2 campuses to be part of the same entity, the interviews are NOT campus specific.
They interview you for NSU KPCOM in general and then you confirm your campus choice after you are accepted (based on availability of course since campus selection is first come first serve based on order of deposit received). So if one campus fills up before the other, you will automatically be assigned to the other campus that has spots left.

I selected the Tampa Bay campus when I applied, but was interviewed by faculty from there FT. Lauderdale campus.

I highly recommend checking out the NSU KPCOM interview thread to get a feel of the types of questions they may ask!
Hope this helps!

i've heard that they don't listen to students suggestions however that is only what i've read on here/credditt so not sure how accurate it is bc ofc people will come here to vent so maybe its not a universal opinion but again i have no idea bc i have read it more than onc

Only scared of the recent drop in board pass rates.
Boards are on the student. Use UWORLD to study from test questions in addition to lectures from the get go. Yes from day 1.

I've recently interviewed at this school, the location seems amazing and looks like they have a good match list. Im confused by the stigma, are there any current students I could message or anyone willing to provide information on why it has a bad reputation?

hey wondering if there’s a GroupMe for accepted students
I know NSU KPCOM sent links to Facebook groups for the class of 2029 that some people are communicating in.
I don't know if anyone has set up a Groupme though or not

Interview received! Nova DO is my dream school so I am beyond excited. The earliest available interview was March 11th. Is this basically interviewing for the waitlist ??

Everyone eventually gets off the waitlist so I wouldn’t be too concerned about that!

Anyone who interviewed 1/28 hear back yet? They said admissions was meeting on 2/7.

Interviewed on January 30 - my application finally says received for all my courses, and it didn't before. Is this a good sign?

Mine said that before I interviewed so I wouldn't read into it as far as when we're getting decisions. It's definitely not a bad sign though, shows some activity on their end.

Does anyone know how fast the waitlist moves and if most students end up getting accepted? This is my top school and I got waitlisted so I’m curious

Hello,
I have a 498 MCAT and what are the chances of getting the interview do you guys know based on past experiences and history.

Anyone know anything about the HB 731 law that’s starting this summer? That Florida schools can no longer do pass fail and required courses have to have a letter grade?

I think this is a newly proposed bill, so like it may or may not happen.
However, as another person said, it won’t really affect NSU KPCOM since they already use a letter grade system.
Regardless, this is definitely interesting for other schools in the state that are p/f!

The link for the GroupMe that was posted isn’t working for me. I’m planning on going to the Tampa campus in the fall and need apartment recommendations! Also, I’m just now realizing this school isn’t pass/fail, which is scary. Good luck to everyone still interviewing/ on waitlist!!!

How long is the interview? I have it on Thursday and it says on the website that it will end at 12, but in the email it says 2pm? This is for virtual!

The Tampa Bay Campus Facebook group (which you should have received a link to in one of the emails you sent) has a lot of apartment recommendations so I recommend you check that out!

I think my interview wrapped up just before 12 (maybe closer to 11:30 if I remember correctly). I definitely did not take until 2 (I think that is for the in-person interviews only where they eat lunch there). Goodluck!!

I submitted my application in the beginning of the month with sub 500 MCAT but high masters GPA. Is there anything I can do to increase my chances of getting an interview? Or am I too late in the cycle?

I don’t remember if they accept update letters or not (as I was accepted before I ever sent one in), but you could always email them to ask.
If they do, send in an update if you have any significant updates that you think would benefit your application/chances of getting an interview!

Hi! My interview is tomorrow so plz help lol I’m confused by the agenda they sent, so is it only one 25 min individual interview and the rest the intro and group q&a?

Yes, it's just one interview. It can be with one faculty member or two, mine was two. However, don't be nervous! This will for sure be one of the most relaxed and friendly interview days you could have, which you'll see once they welcome you at the start. You'll do great!
