IS II on Nov 1st! Interview 11/14! It was really great! This school really welcomes you and focuses on student centered approaches. They really like to focus on community work! I hope they send out decisions for today soon!

Interview 11/7 they told us we would have an answer by thanksgiving, so probably early December for you if I had to guess. Cheers!

Can anyone explain the stigma against kpcom. I’ve been accepted and really like most of what have to offer (besides tuition), but I just don’t understand lol
i've heard that they don't listen to students suggestions however that is only what i've read on here/credditt so not sure how accurate it is bc ofc people will come here to vent so maybe its not a universal opinion but again i have no idea bc i have read it more than once

I am a current student in their FIMS program (linkage program - guaranteed acceptance with a 3.6 while taking masters classes and above a 500 MCAT or guaranteed interview with a 3.2-3.59 and above 500 MCAT). happy to answer any questions about the program and the tampa bay campus.

Does anyone here know if the Davie campus reaches capacity, that they will still interview candidates who marked a South Fl preference for the Clearwater campus? Please confirm

I thought you are already a doctor, Dr. Fauci hehe.

Jokes aside it sounds like they do from what I’ve heard+stuff they said during my interview.

OOS A through email! Interviewed 11/14 so quite surprised for the fast turnaround time.

Just sent my Acceptance Withdrawl email. This was the hardest decision I ever made in my life thus far. I hold NSU in the highest regard, but I had to let it go for cheaper tuition and a closer to home option. Hope this translates to an A or II to someone that needs it. GL all

has anyone been rejected recently? Or does this school string you on til the end of the cycle? I have close ties and I’m really hoping for an interview still

IS II 12/17. Can anyone share the interview experience here. Thank you!

Hi there!
I interviewed in August and was accepted in September.
I highly recommend checking out the NSU KPCOM interview page on SDN!
That was an excellent guide of the questions to expect.
The entire process took all morning since I chose the virtual interview.
We started with a very helpful info. session (it was a lot of great information so definitely take some notes), then we had a Q and A session with some current students that was also helpful, then I did my interview, and then completed a Q and A with the dean. So it really gave me the opportunity to learn more about NSU KPCOM, understand how they operate, and ask questions.
I interviewed with 2 faculty. In my case, one was very friendly and easy going and the other one was quite the opposite (so be prepared for that just in case they grill you a bit). Just be confident and calm and you will be fine.
Just make sure you know why NSU, why DO, why medicine, and why you would be a good asset to NSU! This was all very essential to my interview.
Good-luck! I thought it was a wonderful experience overall!

THANK YOU! That was super helpful

It was very relaxed and super fun to be honest! They asked the usual questions like why med? why NSU? leadership and stuff. Make sure you prepare all of the common questions and be authentic! My personal interviewer was really sweet and really seemed to enjoy interviewing.

Is it normal to have submitted secondary 09/22 and I still have not heard anything? Should I call or give it more time?

Anyone who is a student can tell me about rotation sites? I know you rank your preference and you get matched to one but I don't get where their Michigan rotation sites are. The website simply says Detroit Consortium. Does that mean any of the usual hospitals around Midtown like DMC, the VA, and Kermanos?

Do yall think it's a bad idea to submit a primary to this program now? For reference, 505 mcat, 3.5 gpa, 3.0sgpa, TX resident, stellar EC's and PS.

Is anyone having a ton of trouble accessing the secondary app? I applied here for master's in 2021 and now I'm having all kinds of issues. Been fighting IT for months

I had this issue back in June when I went to submit the secondary because I applied to their undergrad program in 2019. My account was locked since it has been a while since I applied. So I simply just called IT and they unlocked the account right away. It was pretty simple.
Otherwise, I have not had any other issues.
Hope things work out for you!

When and how did you know that your account was locked? I recently found that my account was locked out and it turned out that they sent me a secondary months ago..

Oh no!
I don’t entirely remember, but I think when I went to login into the portal, it recognized my email (since it was the same one I used prior) and then told me my account was locked when I tried to login. So then I called IT immediately, explained the situation, and they unlocked it on the spot.

Only scared of the recent drop in board pass rates.
Board scores is on you the student. You have to think Boards from the get go. Study from the lectures and do Uworld test questions and analyze the answers even if your answered correctly. Do that for each subject . Don't wait to dedicate time for Board Prep.

And I think I saw too that the most recent board score pass rate for 2023-2024 has increased a little bit again, which makes sense considering they are implementing a new approach to board prep with more focus on board prep, increased support and assistance from professors, as well as a mandatory mock exam requiring an above passing score (before you are allowed to sit for the real exam).
