I will graduate in spring 2025 and planning to apply 2025-2026 cycle. For LOR do they need two science professors or can I get LOR from a supervisor I am going to work during my GAP year?

They say 2 from previous professors and 1 from "an individual familiar with the applicants skills and abilities." I did one professor from my psych degree and one professor from my post-bacc, as well as a physician that I had worked with. In general, I think trying to stick with science/med people is good, but ultimately you want someone who is going to write you the best LOR possible.

Here is a link to all of the application requirements:

M2s and M3, what do you like & dislike about PHSU-STL? I am intrigued but can't find a lot of information about the campus beyond the website. How does the school interact with PHSU-PR? Is there a Spanish language requirement at STL? I am Hispanic and grew up with Spanish, but not sufficiently fluent to take med school classes in Spanish.

For me, likes are small class size, diversity, lots of opportunities for leadership positions, starting interest groups, direct access to professors and deans. Dislikes are that since we're new campus, we have to stay flexible as things change.

You do not need to speak spanish to be accepted to the St. Louis campus.

Like: Small class size, medical opportunities in STL, numerous leadership opportunities on campus, interacting with students from different programs (MSMS, PsyD)
Dislike: Curriculum, ambiguity about clinical rotations, small class size, tuition cost

Missouri natives have a better tuition deal.

The state rules allow for their state schools to consider residency after one year which university of missouri medical students make use of but Ponce requires theirs to pay OOS all 4 years.

When does this school usually send secondaries?

Does anyone have any tips for the secondary prompt List/describe: Academic honors, Research experience/ Publications, Community service/ volunteer work? should we just list things again on our primary?

same question, do we have to send in HS transcripts? Also, all of my transcripts are marked with red X, idk what that mean

Same question here, it was kinda odd that they ask for high school GPA. to be real, it is been so many years, I don't remember

Update: the email saids Official transcript(s) – You must send an official transcript directly to the Admissions Office. This is in addition to those submitted through AMCAS. If you are currently enrolled in classes that are necessary to complete your degree or prerequisites, you must send an transcript once you complete the degree or prerequisites.

So send them in boys and girls
This is kinda unfair, just busy work

I hate that fact that we have to send transcripts again in addition to the ones already on AMCAS...welp. At least the secondary was easy.

They confirmed that transcripts are sent afterward. I verified this with them, but if anyone else would like to confirm, call their number. They are super nice!!

Did you add your high school transcript? I thought it was odd they asked for high school GPA

@Cofeenerd I put in the HS details in the app but we don't have to send transcripts for our apps to be reviewed. It's only after!

This from my secondary confirmation email.

I got that too! I checked with them about that, and they confirmed that the review will still proceed, and transcripts are only required if you're invited for an interview and ultimately accepted. However, if someone else wants to confirm, that would be great!
