What is the pre-interview update about? should we just update additional hours if we completed more of them or is it solely for new activities that we are doing?

Just a quick question: last year it seems like the first round of acceptances came out on October 19th. Do you guys think they will release them this year on October 18th accordingly?

how true is the 4-6 week turnaround for interview decisions?

Are the Sunday student Q&A and the Sunday Virtual Happy Hour part of admissions decisions at all?

I interviewed on October 1st, but my interviewer said that I should receive a decision before Thanksgiving, so not 100% sure on the 4-6 week turnaround.

is the pre-interview update form for new activities only, or should I tell them I am continuing X, Y, and Z activities from my AMCAS.

Nothing really changed much since May for me

Would you guys say it’s too late to apply here now?

They require the PREview test, which very few schools require
If you happen to have taken it you can apply
Do you think my timing would put me at a disadvantage given that it’s pretty late in the cycle or this school particularly known to consider late applicants?

Do we need to complete the Pre-Interview Update if we don't have anything to update? Nothing has really changed since I submitted so I would imagine I don't need to fill it out. On the other hand, I feel that if that was the case, they would have specified that some might not have to fill it out if that were the case.

It tells you to explain why you haven’t done anything new.

Accepted, interviewed early Sept

Does AL mean wait list? If so, don't worry; they put a lot of people on their wait list if they interviewed this early on, and many get acceptances later on.
Yeah alternate list sadly. Thank you for the reassurance though 🥲

It says my faculty interview is at 2 but there is no time for the student interview. I know this will come later but I am trying to plan to reserve a space/room. What time are the morning student interviews?

how was the student interview vs faculty for anyone who already had them

For me: faculty is an open file 1-on-1 traditional interview , student interview was one med student with two interviewees answering some situational questions (not terribly difficult medical ones - I got a prompt that was like what would you guys pack on a survival trip). Both are super casual, especially the student one, which just turned into a candid Q and A session at the very end. I can't remember/am not sure whether the student will have reviewed your file - in my case, the student interviewer just didn't bring it up. Not sure if others have inputs though!

I have an interview with SLU this upcoming Monday! Does anyone who was interviewed want to give me some advice? Just a bit nervous because I love SLU lol

The student interview is very chill. I did feel a bit awkward as it was with one other interviewee so sometimes getting the dynamic right was tricky! The faculty interview is open file, and they basically asked me about every activity I had in my application, so know your application very well. I wouldn't say it was grilling but I had to remember details/stories from my experiences.

I submitted my secondary 7/11, and I haven’t heard anything. Is this most likely a silent R?
