I got the “do you want to remain on the waitlist” call about 10 minutes ago! Now to wait some more lol
I'm not certain if a Discord has been set up yet. The current MS1 class president should make one and send an invitation to all incoming students. If you haven't gotten one, perhaps one of your classmates that already did (assuming they have) could DM you a link. I think they normally do it around Match Day, but the MS1 class is finishing up the academic year this week. They may just be waiting until they have a little more free time.Is there a groupme or discord that is set up? I never got an invite.

I sent them a PM with the link earlier today just in case. We had like five or six new additions this week.I'm not certain if a Discord has been set up yet. As a quick correction, that link is not the most updated version of the bill. https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/89R/billtext/html/HB05294S.htm is the amended version that only requires 50% of years to be A-f or a similar 4 tiered grading system (like the honors system in year 3). If this passes, likely the only change for Tech will be switching year 4 to the same 4 tiered scheme as year 3, but this is all speculation. If you're applying to this school, you have likely already heard of TX HB 5294. If not, just letting you know that there is legislation pending that may transition it (and all TX schools) away from P/F grading. P/F has been really nice for me so far at this school. (Currently, HSC is totally P/F for MS1/2, Honors/High-Pass/Pass/Fail for MS3, and P/F for MS4.)
More info is available at this link or just googling TX HB 5294. Nobody knows how the legislation will definitely impact things, as it can still be amended or may not even be enacted into law.
Ah, thanks for pointing that out. I agree that is the most likely outcome that HSC would move to if this version of the bill is enacted. As a quick correction, that link is not the most updated version of the bill. https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/89R/billtext/html/HB05294S.htm is the amended version that only requires 50% of years to be A-f or a similar 4 tiered grading system (like the honors system in year 3).
