@wysdoc just wanted to let you know that the link from the alphabetic index for this school goes directly to their regular SDN page and not this post!

same, I submitted but I am questioning if I missed something... was your form only asking for 100 words explaining ties?

That's odd, I don't have a 250 word question.
Edit: Never mind! It shows up after you check the boxes

I'm wondering the same thing, for my premed family member who grew up in WA, graduated from a WA high school, still has family in WA, and has strong stat metrics. Nothing so far from UW.
i mean im a nobody from tx lol. i got their mission statement secondary yesterday and figuring out why they even sent me one in the first place considering how biased it is for WWAMI residents

Perhaps your “family member” has decided not to share everything with you

Im out of state but didn't receive a questionnaire. Should I have?
Are you out of state in a WWAMI state? Or out of region (OOR)? I think they are sending them out periodically. I live in WA State and some of my fellow in state applicants haven't even received the residency questionnaire either.

If your AMCAS application has been transmitted and you included University of Washington on your school list, you should get one in time.
Your answers on this questionnaire will determine whether you move forward to a secondary app.

i dont think this is true. i did some digging and found that there are 6000-7000 OOR (out of REGION) primary applications. 2000-3000 get a mission statement (pre secondary). 90-150 get a secondary. 40-100 get interviewed. and apparently like 30-90 get accepted.

Do any MSTP applicants know what will be on the Supplemental Application following their special Preliminary Application? I want to know if I have another chance to share some thing I couldn't fit in the preliminary app.

Hello!

There was only one area to add on additional info on the supplementary MSTP app. Under an area to enter in course prerequisites, there was one prompt asking "Describe your competency by explaining how you have explored and come to understand issues in the social sciences and humanities as they relate to the practice of medicine. (250 words)"

Other than that, the supplemental app asks about letters of recommendation and provides some information about the program's course policies.
Best of luck!

Need more clinical hours for sure.

Also I believe SDN has a dedicated WAMC forums, you should post there. This thread is for people currently applying this cycle so we’re not as experienced to evaluate your application as those on the WAMC forums

Would you mind sharing when you received and then submitted the Mission statement? Thanks!
Sure! Mission statement was complete on 7/12. I actually received a secondary in the previous cycle too so I am not sure if that factored into it. But I also have strong ties to Washington.

You wont get in if you don't apply. Given it is your state school I think you should definitely apply.
