Did anyone who matched at UTRGV hear back from the school yet?

I assume it is because they are a smaller school with less movement. I guess they want to "weed out" people who might be waitlisted but won't consider UTRGV because they have other offers elsewhere but hold on to the A till the last minute.

Does anyone know if all OOS applicants that weren't accepted get put on the waitlist post interview?
 
Is there any benefit to sending an update letter while on the waitlist?

I have update as I will have publications by the end of this month and presentations, How can I update the college ? I am on waitlist as well.

If there is not a place to upload it on the UTRGV portal, email admissions and put your name and "Research Update" in the email subject line
 
I have not received an II from this school and have already matched + committed to another Texas school. However, I haven't received any rejection from this school yet. Because of the match, can I say that this school has automatically rejected me or that my app has automatically been withdrawn from this school?

Wondering about this because TAMU separately sent me a rejection well after match day.

If you had no interview by match day you know you are rejected.
Some schools have the custom of confirming it with an email

How may of y'all have multiple acceptances? Out of curiosity, as a person on the waitlist.

I would estimate that most of the applicants to UTRGV were Texans, and at this point in time they have only 1 acceptance because of the TMDSAS Match which gives you one and only one school after Match Day.

How could you or others get in from the WL?
-If a currently accepted UTRGV applicant gets an offer from the WL of a school they prefer, and leave to go there.
-If a currently accepted UTRGV applicant cannot attend this year for any of a number of reasons (they end up not meeting the prereqs, they fall ill and need to defer for a year, they don't pass the background check 😳 etc.)
-If a currently accepted UTRGV applicant has also applied to OOS schools and finds out about a new offer of admission

How does someone "end up not meeting the prereqs" and get an acceptance this far?

Well, when accepted they need to send their official transcript to UTRGV and the school reviews it. The prerequisites expectations of all the TMDSAS schools are not identical.
Maybe a student said they would be taking a course this year but didn't. Or got a D in it.
If they see someone is missing a course or took it online (UTRGV doesn't allow OL classes) an issue could arise. Sometimes they will allow 1 or 2 online courses but a student would have to request an appeal for it and present documentation of the course's syllabus.

UTRGV doesn't accept any online classes? Not even those taken during COVID when schools were completely virtual?

Read their web page and/or the MSAR to verify this.
To my knowledge, UTRGV does not accept AP or OL classes for the major prerequisites.
All schools will take what happened in the 2020/2021 college-turned-remote years because students had no choice in it.

I know many local school districts, including UTRGV, cancelled classes tomorrow. Storms will continue overnight, but by Saturday area should be cleared up.

I was wondering if any of the accepted students ultimately chose not to attend UTRGV. Given that there are 50 attendees, every one staying for now..

There may be some who get in to another school next month, creating spaces. WL movement hasn’t really started

MSAR 2025 came out and this schools accepted mcat median went up 3 points, crazy
 
Does the school start offering Acceptances to students on waitlist now ? has anyone got off the waitlist ?
