Interviews do not begin until October 1st.
👍 This is correct. I will be there on the first day and I'll post my thoughts when I get home that evening (after a 2.5 hour drive back to Iowa).

I will be there too...only 2 weeks!
Yay! I have two interviews this week and then Kirksville is my next one. Are you staying in a hotel? I think I'm just going to get up early and drive down that morning.
I haven't been home yet! I will see but I am sure that will be the case...i got an invite few weeks ago but the earliest dates they had were in November. Did you get to schedule earlier than that?
Just curious but does anyone know if SOMA and KCOM collaborate at all? I know they have separate admission committees and such but is anyone getting interviews at both?

I got a KCOM II in the first wave and I haven't heard a peep from SOMA 🙁
Sent from my iPhone using SDN Mobile app, forgive my typos!

Kinda bummed...was outright rejected.
32R MCAT
3.5S, 3.5C, 4.0 in 60 hour graduate program (Masters in Health Administration)
5000 hours of hospital lab work
200 hours research
500 hours of shadowing
I already have 4 interviews set up, so I'm not terribly concerned. Being from Missouri, however, and having attended undergrad in Kirksville, is what makes it a bit sad. Though (and I think I mentioned it before), I have been told that KCOM is VERY particular about whom they interview/admit in ways that are not always what you would expect.
Any red flags?Kinda bummed...was outright rejected.

How so?
YAY! so happy, just grabbed the OCT 4 date. I have KCUMB interview on OCT 3rd so no longer will have to spend $$ to fly to the state more than once all the way from CA.

Yikes so long wait for you too! Well you're better than me anyways (I assumed so before you posted hahaha). Congrats again and good luck to you! 🙂 I feel like you have a zillion interviews - knock 'em dead! 👍
Grats! I'll see you there! Feel free to PM 👍
Will do. We can set up a dinner thing the night before if you want.
May I recommend Pancake City?

wow, your GPA is very impressive!🙂
just a little tip for those with recent iis. If you want an earlier date, keep checking the calendar regularly as dates open up quite frequently. I moved mine from November 8 to Oct 4. Also, the admissions lady told me that you are only allowed one reschedule per cycle.
I already rescheduled 🙁. I set it to Nov. 1 and then realized it was the day after halloween. Can't miss halloween in NYC! So moved it back to nov. 30.
What do they have?
I am a bit confused after reading the interview feedback section on this school. Are there really 2 separate 1 hour interview sessions for each applicant? Unfortunately, Most questions on that page start from 2010, and I was really hoping to read questions from past cycle.
Can I make a request with those of you who are interviewing before Oct 4 to post about your interview experience/questions asked. I promise to do the same once I am done with mine to help future interviewees.
I think it is actually two separate 30-45 minute interviews and then another 20-30 minute interview...so a total of three one-on-one interviews.
😱Are you serious?! That is a lot.

Also the two longer ones are with faculty professors and physicians I believe while the shorter one is with the admissions staff...not positive, but I am pretty sure that is correct

This is true. But, not only are the interviews very conversational, but you will get an information card with your interviewers names, job description, and extracurricular interests in your interview packet. Look over this to see if you can relate to them in some way and you can direct your conversation toward your similar interests.
It is three interviews, but if all goes well, they go by very fast. Plus, it gives you three opportunities to impress people.
