Class of 2021 . . . how ya doin?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
(Second year was way more interesting than first and I enjoyed school so much more even with the insane exam schedule. You guys will be fine! 🙂 )

As of right now second year is a lot better than first. It'll change over time (and I hear spring semester is rough all around) but for now think the change is really good

Saaaaame. 4 hours of straight lecture kills me, I miss having some labs in the morning. (Shh, I know I'm in the wrong class's thread 😛)

I would have just stayed home and slept a few more hours, but we have surprise clicker questions now worth 10% of our grade.:meh: So now I sit in the back row with headphones in and movie scores on. Today was just rough, though.

I've hit the hump day wall. Just tired and not motivated. Just want a nap. Lol
Wednesday I have surgery in the morning and then class from 1 until 6:45. I didn't take notes in any of the lectures, barely did anything when I got home, straight up passed out at 10pm. Damn hump day.

I want to skip some of our lectures so bad, but we have the same problem here.

I think I survived the first path exam too. On to the next one right?

Second year is simultaneously better and worse than first year??! how?

Gas smell detected in our classroom building. Maybe this will get me out of the immunology lab!!!

I'm not sure if I should like this post or not...

Gas was coming from somewhere else and just getting sucked in through ventilation. An hour into lab at this point. And haven't even started it.....

Just had our first lecture and first lab exam of second year. First six weeks is all cardiorespiratory and I'm digging it.

They sent out an email about midterms already. It made me realize our midterms are only 2 weeks away. -_-

So, I took the first of four exams this week. Teacher walked in, handed out the tests and then stepped out. 8 minutes later she comes back in, I hand her the test and she goes, "You have got to be kidding me!"

My reply, "Either you know it or you don't."

I really hope this goes well.

My dad tells this story about when he was in law school he really liked a class that was known to be notoriously difficult. Gets to the final, takes him 15 minutes to complete...takes it up front to the professor, tosses it across the desk and says “next time make it harder.” My father in a nutshell lol

LOL! My fellow classmates don't appreciate that as much when it is the first exam of the semester. Fortunately, the professor assured me that the grade distribution was normal, so she isn't going to make the next test harder. I just wish she wasn't holding the grades until after we are done with exam hell week. I just want to know if I passed.

4 exams in a week sucks. I am tired and did quite badly on all of them. Couldn't get a simple gram stain in the microbiology lab and my plating technique needs work. Not really feeling the whole vet school thing today. I hope everything is going better for y'all.

Sorry you've had a rough go of it RM 🙁 It's interesting to me some of the differences in curriculum. We didn't have microbiology labs and never did any plating, though micro lab was a prereq. Hope things start looking up for you.

I've been home in Colorado the last few days because of a family emergency. It's been devistating. My life will never be the same.

I have my midterm next Friday and the following Monday. I'm not going to ready to go back by then, and the school is being awesome and letting me take my time. I am two days behind on lectures and just don't really care.
