FTF's Worst Idea Yet (Game Over)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I thought it was a worst-case scenario thing.
I’m feeling 85:15 on 2 scum vs just mafia. Neither cray, paws, nor you claimed vig so the only way I see for there to have been 3 kills on N1 with the flips we’ve gotten is if there’s another antivillage killer or if the remaining mafia had an extra kill. Do you know if that’s possible from the rolelist? I’ll check it myself, too, but I’m not confident I’ll definitely catch whether it is.

I was specifically looking for abilities that activate N2 or D3 that would be useful for mafia, werewolf, or antivillage 3p/would be harmful to village.

I guess I just don’t see that as particularly useful for mafia/detrimental to village, when compared to the chance for village to use the D2 on a threat who wasn’t destined to die the next day. Especially the forcing someone else to kill part. Sure, small chance they’re tracked, but idek if there’s any tracker or watcher roles that haven’t been bastardized into uselessness in this setup.
In the end the point isn't really the usefulness, it's that there was literally a scum role that activated d3 that, if you were looking for n2/d3 things, you would have noticed and it would have made much more sense to at least mention it as a possibility and then say "but, meh" like you did with the roleblocker one than to not mention it at all. Are you saying you looked at the role list specifically for n2/d3 activation and it didn't cross your mind that he might be the d3 mafia treestump?

Didn't chaos have a vig component?

I guess one of the things stopping me is if Vis is mafia, why did Zenge put her in danger of death, knowing his claim would out him the next day and he'd die too?

Sure it crossed my mind, but the question I was asking myself wasn’t “is Z scum”, it was “is Z scum that it’s dangerous to wait until tomorrow to yeet”. I didn’t see a D3 stumper as a possible threat.

Is it possible chaos protected Bob?
Wouldn’t that have protected Bob from death? I thought the point of the bodyguard was to redirect kill to the bodyguard, not for the bodyguard to die in addition to the target

So zenge killed genny, genny killed msp (or vice versa), chaos killed himself protecting bob and that made bob kill himself
This is the most absurd thing other than my own role name that I've read all game

So in my mind I am back to cray or vis and is vis trying to push two scum left to save herself
Yeah but idk why she would go for the "yeet me or dubz" angle unless for the WIFOM or because she would survive the yeet somehow

Although, if Vis is fakeclaiming as last mafia, it would buy her a cycle; not end the game.

Just want to note I apparently accidentally liked something as I was reading through, total accident and didn’t even realize I did it until someone told me.
Keep having fun guys 👍

tbh I thought it was a non-strategy-related general approval on principle of mechanics tomfoolery and thought nothing of it lol

I guess based on VCA and cray making weird posts about me (agreeing with the goo monster who I was pushing, no less...) I'm leaning more that direction? I'll look at the trackers again.
For the record I wasn't pushing you, and I made a follow up post saying so.

But if Bioshock is anything to go by, And heck I got the superlative best evidence based application of WW theory, it's that if there is a point to make about the dangers of 3P, even inclusive 3P, then I'm going to have to make that point on principle. Not understanding how 3P affects the game dynamics and just thinking somehow true neutral, even one playing for village, doesn't affect game balance, is seriously a peeve of mine and if it comes up I get triggered.

You yourself have admitted that being true neutral has affected your gameplay and you're not following a

Yes cray but I CANNOT VOTE and other than giving my thoughts and telling people to take them with a huge grain of salt, I have not put much energy into this game at all. So it was a weird comment to make when I am literally just existing and the one person I pushed at all was the goo.

And if anything the 3p in Bioshock villaged harder than the village did so I'm not sure what lesson about neutrals you think was taught there.

I’m still at:
- if there’s just the one mafia left, it’s probably cray
- if there’s two scum, the only chance for a village win and the most interesting scenario is killing me or Dubz and seeing what they do tonight. But if AM would still prefer to try to kill the remaining mafia than to kill a neutral 3p for a slim chance of a village win then I’m also fine with that, since I would win by surviving.
