Did anyone make a Facebook page for accepted people?
Has anyone from the 10/21 interview or later heard back?
I interviewed on 10/8 but haven't heard anything (not even a rejection). Has anybody received anything other than an acceptance? Liberty is my first choice!Has anyone from the 10/21 interview or later heard back?
Thanks!Just made a Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/LUCOM2018/
I just interviewed today and they informed us that the admissions committee will be reviewing applications tomorrow. If you interviewed on 10/21 then you should be in that batch.
Congrats! When did you interview?Just got accepted too! As a re-applicant, this is such a relief!

Ditto.Accepted! Woohoo!
Congrats!Accepted! Holy crap I just got the call! Interviewed Monday. Good luck everybody. Don't have a heart attack if you get a call from VA. Haha
According to AACOMAS, any decisions received before Nov. 15th allow the applicant to wait until Dec. 14th to make a deposit.Does anyone know when we have to make a decision for those accepted? Or how much the deposit would be? It's been a week now and I haven't received any additional information via mail or email after I got the call from Dr. Martin.

It's definitely high on my listed considering its close to home, I'm familiar with the university and it's reputation, and I was overall impressed with the faculty and staff and their reputations. I've been looking over the curriculum in the catalog and it seems intensive and well put together. My biggest concern is matching for residency being a new school in an unproven class. Also being the first class you cannot benefit from help from upperclassmen and are essentially the guinea pigs for working out the nuts and bolts of the program.
That said, I think at any med school, you get out of it what you put into it. So if you're competitive in your class, have done well on the COMPLEX and USMLE and have built relationships with doctors in residency programs you're interested in, I think it may be slightly more challenging matching but will definitely be able to match well.
Hopefully we'll receive more official info from the school for all those accepted by the end of the week.
Clinical rotations don't necessarily have to be at the affiliations with the school. For instance, a coworker of mine went to AZCOM and did some rotations at Georgetown simply by calling the staff and asking if he could jump into there rotations. As long as the paperwork is there and it's made official and credible, you can rotate as you please. Like I said it is what you make of it.
However I'm sure the faculty at Liberty would prefer the news students to rotate at their affiliates ( as they are trying to establish themselves) but that certainly does not mean there isn't room for exceptions.
Are you definitely going to Liberty? I know it's early in the cycle.I haven't gotten any addition information after the call and the acceptance email either and it's been about two weeks now! I wonder when they will send everything out also! Are you definitely going to attend Liberty?

On another note...have you seen the building? It is nearly complete and looks nice! I wonder what the anatomy lab will look like and if they will have a skills lab (surgical, tube placements, x-ray/ultrasound technologies).

Lynchburg is large enough not to be considered rural for sure. It has like 80,000 people so it is a sizable town and has many amenities.
I don't know about primary rejections, but I received an ii one week after receiving (and submitting) my secondary.Has anybody received a 'presecondary' rejection from LUCOM? And in how many days or weeks it happened after submitting your application?

Thanks...By the way, forgot to add that I received my secondary after about 3-4 weeks of submitting my letters of recommendation (forgot to do it right away, silly me). So if you are within 3-4 weeks from having a complete file, you might be receiving a secondary invite pretty soon.
Then you should apply GA pcom. It has a small population but it actually feels bigger than lynchburg. It actually surprised me.I'm not sure yet! I loved everything about the school besides the area. I really wanted a semi city like area but I guess that's not really a big issue. I still have a couple more interviews and some more schools to hear back from!
