Interviewed here and loved it!!!! Loved the mmi format as well.
I would like to comment on this and provide a little different perspective. One of the missions of the school is to produce physicians that serve underserved areas of Indiana. That doesn't only mean rural, but also socio-economically depressed. I personally consider the location a positive aspect of the school because they can be more able to support their mission.

I was there today too! Blue or gold?
I get the EXACT location isn't superb, but drive less than 10 minutes and you're in the heart of downtown (which is fabulous) and the surrounding suburbs are beautiful. I don't want people reading this forum to get the wrong idea, by people saying the location is terrible. If i were reading this as someone who had never been here, I would think the location was sketch and/or farmland for miles and miles. It's not!!
It's a very livable area. Dr. meows, I wasn't intending to misrepresent the school, I am just excited about the possible opportunities for pre-clinical experiences in the area.

Exactly why I actually eventually came to realize even the location isn't bad. And the prospect of a 10 minute commute is beautiful.
But like I said, when I first taxied in from the Airport I was really shocked. But then again I'm not used to a Midwestern type city. But like I'll also say, the city is nice and seemed pretty livable.
So who knows.
Yeah I remember the initial surprise of where the school really was, since I never had been to Indianapolis before and had no idea what to expect. But I ended up getting an apartment downtown and my ten minute commute is pretty perfect 🙂 it's so awesome living in the heart of the city!
Indiana is a very doctor friendly state as well. Always voted one of the best states to practice medicine.
Put on hold a few weeks ago, II today. Wahoo
Im curious what exactly makes a state doctor friendly? Low malpractice insurance?Caps on damages?
Canceling my interview. Hope it goes to someone in the sdn family.
After reading many posts on this thread and reading a few online brochures, I think I will try submitting a secondary here. Does anyone know if it is too late? GPA ~3.6, MCAT ~29, lots of clinical experience, lots of volunteering, etc.
they told us that they meet on thursday morningsI wonder how many of last week's 56 interviewees the Admissions Committee will review and and make final decisions on today. 😳
anybody interviewing on nov 8th ?
The MU-COM admissions committee meets on Thursday mornings. All decisions are released within 3 business days of the committee meeting.
MU-COM
Firstly, remember that it is an average. Secondly, I'm sure the school wanted solid science GPAs, especially for the first class. Of course, this second point is purely a guess.Man, Dat average science GPA.
My secondary was marked as complete today. How long do you have to wait until you hear anything back?
Hey everyone, just wondering if they interview on saturdays? thanks : )
really really really hoping for the call tomorrow!!
Does any one know if they plan to increase class size over the next few years? I know most DO schools have sizes in the 200s.
i was there on friday, there were 28 of us, how many were with you on saturday? just wondering...I am hoping to hear some good news tomorrow too! I interviewed on Saturday, and was very impressed with the new building.
