NYU or Miami??

Hi guys,
I'm trying to decide between NYU and UM (miami). They're both great programs in amazing cities.

I'm having a really hard time deciding and would like some input please! So far I'm leaning toward NYU because of their new curriculum which implements clinicals 6 months earlier.

Any input on hospitals? residency matches? ANY info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

I am from Miami. Saving money would be great, but definitely not one of the determining factors. just want to choose the one that will better prepare me for residency

Check out Miami's most recent match list, it's very impressive. Jackson Memorial is also a great place to train as well.

Plus, can't beat the weather.

NYU is ranked way higher. That'd be the smartest move

Thank you for the input guys. Such a tough choice. I can't seem to find NYU's most recent match list or average Step 1 scores....Do any of you have any idea how they compare to UM's?
UM's average step 1 was 227 last year.

I think I remember reading that NYU's step 1 average is like 234 or something. Also, NYU's match list was great this year.

I would definitely go for NYU.

I wouldn't be making any decisions based on step 1 averages. They are averages just like every undergrad has MCAT averages. Go where your heart leads you.

My vote would be NYU, but it's not my decision.
