**Official PASS 2023 Endodontic Residency Interviews/Information

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Being in alternate list after you interviewed means that next year when we apply we would get an interview?? or its not guaranteed?
Has someone experienced this before?
May I ask which program contacted you to put you on the alternate list? I was under the impression that they usually dont contact you unless they are offering you a spot

Me too, I thought they always ghost the unselected candidates!
Sorry I don't know the whole story and which program I haven't asked, its friend of a friend. He sent me the question and asked me to ask you here guys.
What I know that he had an interview weeks ago and didn't hear back so tried to contact them and they informed him that the spots were filled and he is waitlisted..
So he was wondering if that means that he has a big chance to be accepted next year if he reapplies.

USC spots filled?
Not sure but according to admin's email: I just got word from Dr. Roges that he has completed the review and interview process; therefore, no additional interviews will be conducted for this cycle.

Interesting how Michigan didn’t hide the emails of everyone rejected

Case Western just sent out interviews yesterday. I imagine they'll send out more when those who already have a spot decline the interview. Good luck to all interviewing!
Any news from Case Western?

Hi everyone,
Does it matter which GPR or AEGD program you attended or as long as you completed one year AEGD or GPR it can help your application?

It will only help admissions with AEGD/GPR experience because you can check off one of the boxes that you did the residency.

But every program is different in preparing one for endo admissions. I bet one of those AEGD/GPR programs won’t even have a proper set up for RCT’s. I would search carefully and apply to programs that are oriented towards endo admissions.

Thanks for your response, so we can say that if the program has lots of Endo, it will help me, and it doesn't matter if it is not Dental school program? If it is a community clinic or even more like a private practice it helps?

Correct. It does not have to be a dental school program. Any program that prepares you well and can write you good reference letters is the golden key. Maybe some endo directors also prefer highly recognized AEGD/GPR programs (i.e. Albert Einstein Medical Center GPR)

Maybe check to make sure that the program has an endodontist on staff. preferably full time, so that you can also obtain a letter

Which schools open before PASS?
- Ohio opens early April
- Maquette around first week of May
- UConn is already accepting applications and I think Michigan (they use their grad school application (apply web) )

Does UConn accept students right after dental school? Or do they require a year of GPR? Thank you

Hey guys, I asked this previously but got no answers... has anyone heard of how often the "alternate list" moves for Columbia University?

Do UT San Antonio, Houston, and A&M accept foreign-trained dentists?

This is where I started and then went on each schools website to look up their tuition and requirements.
Also found the ADEA PASS search engine - CASSchoolPages
