NYU Langone - Kansas is not accepting applications for the 2025 entering class. Received an email saying such.

To follow up with this comment. Do you know if they are closed or taking applicants for 2026 cycle? I can not find any information anywhere about this program for the next cycle

For those that went through the process last year and had interviews, what were some of the questions you were asked?

I experienced different interview styles (panel: 4-5 faculty interviewing you at once, speed dating: 4 separate rooms, 1 on 1 with a faculty for 10-15 min, or traditional: only 1 interview with 1 faculty for 30-45 min)

I usually got the typical questions:
-Why peds
-Why our program
-What are you looking for in a program
-Strengths/weakness
-What have you learned recently
-What’s a challenge you faced recently and how did you overcome it
-Ethical scenario

I recorded myself when practicing and had a 2-3 bullet points for every question so I wouldn’t forget what to say.

All the interviews I had were chill! Easy going and want to know who you are. I think getting the interviews are the hardest part

Had some odd ball, kid friendly questions too that I can’t remember off the top of my head

Recommend bringing a journal article in case someone asks you about research

Hi everyone! I was wondering if there are any international applicants (specifically F-1 visa holders) who matched into a pediatric dentistry program this cycle?

I’m currently a dental student on an F-1 visa in a 4-year DDS program at a U.S.-accredited dental school (not foreign-trained), and I’ve been having a hard time figuring out whether it's even possible to match into peds while on an F-1. I'd really love to connect with anyone who’s been in a similar situation and successfully matched — hearing your experience would mean a lot!

Yes, aside from a minority of programs. You may also not be eligible for stipends at some schools. In general, you are fine

I'd recommend double checking each program you'd like to apply to by checking out their AAPD/ADEA PASS pages. The majority will have it listed whether or not international/ Canadians are welcome or if its only open to US citizens/ permanent residents. Once you match, you'll be able to apply for a TN visa if you're from Mexico/Canada before your program start date.

Hello! Looking to see if anyone knows anything about the Cooper Health Dental Residency in NJ - I cannot find mind information online - is this a competitive residency? Also does anyone have any information on the St. Josephs residency in NJ?

It is closed right now. Application opens up in May. I think it's May 14th?
