Any idea how large the final waitlist is? Any information on how many get off it from previous years?

4 years of interviews and wait lists followed by rejections each time and this makes the fourth 🙄 I tried to be a DO.
Fortunately, I got accepted to OU Med this time. Good luck to all and don't give up if you really want it. I did.
So why do you think you were rejected all those years previously?

I was unaware they had a final wait list. I have not received a rejection email yet so I am assuming that I have made said list.
Keeping a positive outlook and high hopes! Good luck all!
They sent out emails on Tues, 28th of May.
Anyone on the waitlist should have received one.

What I do know is that it is preferred (and would be in your best interest) to have a D.O. letter. If you can make the time, I would find a D.O. to shadow for a while and be upfront in letting them know you need a letter.

Hey guys, not sure if I should post this here or not (I'm new to this forum), but I had a question about in-state-residency when applying to OSU's medical school in Tulsa. I got married this past year in Oklahoma, and my wife is from Oklahoma and has residency there, but I'm out of state. I want to know if marrying an Okie helps when applying...so I called the registrar but she wasn't there so I talked to someone else but they weren't 100% sure what the rules are...soo...here's what the website says:
Can I qualify for in-state status if I marry someone who has already established domicile in Oklahoma and is recognized as in-state?
Each spouse in a family shall establish his or her own status on a separate basis. Exceptions include the following:
a. When an individual with out-of-state status marries a person with established in-state status, the out-of-state individual may be considered in-state at their next term of enrollment after documentation of the marriage and proof of domicile are satisfied without the 12 month domiciliary waiting period.
b. Exceptions for spouses of full-time active duty military stationed in Oklahoma and spouses of full-time Oklahoma workers, as specified in sections 3.17.7 and 3.17.8 of the policy.
I'm confused-so marrying someone doesn't help get in-state when applying? Thanks
