3.4/3.3 25, so stats not great, and I sent an update letter with my additional volunteering and shadowing work and also just told Lindsey over email my fall grades. Sent all that over email Tuesday.

Dang, I have pretty much those exact same stats. Hopefully they do some more waitlist acceptances this month...the suspense is killing me.

Accepted today too!!!! I can't wait to be at OSU COM!!!!!!! Anyone know where they'll be living?
 
I'm not sure where I'm living either. Anybody know where we can connect with other class of 2017ers for potential roommates.

Thanks 🙂 I interviewed in November so I was accepted off the waitlist. The only thing that changed on my app was some added volunteer work, shadowing, and I started working after Christmas as a medical assistant for a doctor.

I had started to give up hope, so hang in there waitlisters!!!!

It might not be a bad idea for those waiting to go to Med-Xtravaganza next week if you can... it's for prospective college students, but I was planning to go before now just to show how much I want to be at OSU (I know the school keeps track of who visits/tours etc). Plus you could probably meet with Lindsey or Sara in person about your app.
 
Did all wait listed people get phone calls for acceptances? I always thought that they mail letters to all those who are wait listed when accepted.

Interviewed Nov. 29th, Waitlisted Dec 14th, received call Feb 8th. In the waitlist letter it says further correspondence will be by mail, but all accepted students receive phone calls from the 918 number.

Thanks for your response. Med-Xtravaganza has reached max capacity, and I've already attended it in the past. I haven't gotten a call/letter since my interview last month, so I'm hoping to hear some good news tomorrow. Wish me luck!!

Question for you. Do you have any idea how osu picks and chooses people off the wait list? I'm fairly certain it isn't gpa/mcat so I'm curious! Thanks

It's whole applicant oriented. Your full application is reviewed every time.
 
Can anyone give me information on parking? My interview is next week, and I'm unfamiliar with the OSU campus. Can anyone give me the cross streets of the parking lot?
 
The cross streets are Southwest Blvd and 17th Street. There is a parking lot off of Southwest if you drive past the intersection or you can turn right onto 17th and there will be an entrance to the parking lot on the left. Either is fine, there will be an ambassador at each entrance to take you to where you need to be. Good luck!

Don't be nervous. Be yourself. Your scores/GPA got you the interview, now is the time to show the interviewers what a great personality you have! Good luck!
 
Got my phone call today!! Accepted to class of 2017 🙂 So excited!!
 
Im thinking about sending another letter of recommendation to OSU but let me know what you guys think. I have been teaching upper level sciences at the high school level and have gotten to know the principle very well. He offered to write me a letter of recommendation based on my character and work ethic alone, because he knows nothing about my MCAT score or GPA in undergrad. Would this be an acceptable letter to send? I'm just not sure how letters from professional bosses are evaluated at medical schools. What do you guys think?

I would send anything you think will show you in a positive light. It adds something new to your file, it shows responsibility and ability to help people understand what information you are trying to get across to them. I would send it.

^ I know how bad it sucks to be in limbo on the wait list. I was on it last year for 5 months until June when i was told i to try again next year!! But I tried again this year and got accepted!! Best of luck to all of you on the wait list and if it doesn't happen this year please don't give up!!! 🙂

No it won't be, they always leave a few slots for the final interviews and then also pull from the waitlist.
 
Got the call yesterday, OOS acceptance!! Interviewed 1.5 weeks ago.

I am interviewing on Thursday. I have applied for the duel D.O./M.S. degree, so I will be having two different interviews. Does anyone have any experience with the M.S. interview?

3.61cGPA 3.62 sGPA 23O (not great), 8 years as a paramedic, 2 as a flight paramedic and 4 as a paramedic instructor.
