I'm picking my schools on AMCAS, and it seems like no Texas school except Baylor has a regular M.D. program... Really??

Thinks? Yeah, right. 😎
Texas is just that much better than the rest of the union. 😀
Fixed 😀
They do, it's just that they use a separate application service called TMDSAS. You can find out more about them on their website http://www.utsystem.edu/tmdsas/
Fixed 😀
You'll pay for that. Believe me.
Oh nice, thanks for the link!
But why do they have weird requirements?
http://www.utsystem.edu/tmdsas/medical/education_Requirements.html
6 semester Eng? 14 hrs Bio?
Don't most school only require 2 semester Eng and 8 hr bio?
*sigh.. why do they make it so difficult for OOSs..
All I want is to study at my fiance's home state, is that too much to ask?![]()
Bring it 😛
It is just 2 semesters of English- it's 6 semester hours of English 🙂
I've always heard of 14 hrs of bio (basically 2 years, 1 year with lab), but maybe that's just me being from Texas.
Usually we do Bio1+lab and Bi 2+lab, so is 8 hr total.. How does it work in Texas?
p.s. zipmedic your icon is so cute!
So for us, it would be Bio1+lab, Bio2+lab (8hrs), and then 2 more classes (6 hrs).
And what, MY avatar isn't interesting enough for you? 🙁
oh bleh.. Is AP credits accepted? Seems like I'd kinda qualify because I have 8 AP bio credits, microbiology and biochem.
basketball?? sorry nope.
They list the rules for AP credit at the top of the page, 4th bullet. You should be fine if your university listed it as granting credit for Bio1+lab and Bio2+lab on your transcript.
And, hmph.
