Time To Get a WWatch - Game Thread

And now, the underwhelming revelation!

My claim this morning was actually my role. I'm a village tourist, and each night I can visit someone (like a fruit vendor minus the fruit). My target is told that they were visited. That's it!

Why did I pick Samac?
There's not a whole lot of utility with a role like this, but one thing I can do is visit someone I'm not totally sure about and see what they do with the fact they were visited, if anything. And Samac fit that bill, strong voice that was in my high nulls verging on a townread. And I didn't think they were likely to die, so lol me on that part.

Why claim?
When I saw the flip my first thought was that I wasted my visit. Second thought was that it could potentially be bad depending on what other roles are in the game. I was a wagon for most of yesterday so it wouldn't be that surprising for me to be the target of a tracker or watcher if there is one, and if they saw me visit Samac then they would naturally assume that they saw the kill. And this would be bad! Because if they "out" me and I'm killed today, then they're likely killed in the night and we're down two villagers, the other of whom has a much more useful role than mine. So claiming prevents that hypothetical worst case scenario. To be clear, if you have a role that confirms what I'm saying, don't claim.

Any reason you chose samac over someone in your village reads (but not necessarily consensus village)?

This is weird enough that I believe it, Zenge and Dubz and KD are strange creatures

Yeah I've been trying to figure out how to articulate that I'm more likely to believe this story than not tbh
Could be a fruitless fruit vendor wolf, even. Just last game we made an alignment seer wolf in a game with no 3Ps, weirder stuff happens.

Still have him in the mushy middle of my reads, just making that point.

Well if he's a wolf, he would have known who was going to be targeted for the night kill, and I just don't see a wolf planning out this whole elaborate thing where he fruitless fruit vendors the same person that the wolves plan on killing and then comes to announce the sketchy visit on thread just in case someone tracked him and then waits all day to give the real reveal all just for... potential mild credit from a few people and possible sus from others? So I'm just more likely to believe he's village telling the truth

Is it weird? It doesn't seem that unusual to me, but I'm not sure what roles are common here.

I am leaning on April/Nate being a difference check but will refuse to give explanations Until I reread some stuff

V/W pairing = Difference Check.

Basically you dont share alignment

that role is entirely possible, the claim itself is NAI imo

the thing is wolves do not usually visit their own nightkill with a role like that

that type of role is extremely common in the metas i'm used to
I've never seen something quite like it here but it doesn't surprise me because mods make up roles all the time

Though

Contemplating whether the role claim was faked in an effort to cover up a NK, if wolves are worried about a watcher/tracker.

Hmm
Still wouldn't make sense because the explanation can only realistically work as a cover up for one night before people get super duper suspicious

Can you rephrase this thought? I can't tell if it's a weird perspective or just worded strangely.

My vote locks at the 24 hour mark, may or may not be awake to change it

Generally believe if someone claims visiting the nk in a closed setup just best to kill them most of the time, protracted fruit vendor claim does not negate that for me

I retract the difference check thingy. Maybe they are wolves together.

Thinking Emoji.

I need to sleep

Okay, but I asked you about this earlier.

Fruit vendors and similar aren’t entirely common around here (not that there can’t be one in this game)
interesting. dunno, i think judgment on whether a role fits in site meta is valuable (i was nearly caught in a game elsewhere because my fakeclaim was a role no one had ever heard of) but bind setup spec can lose games

i think the claim by itself is fine but i'd like to hear from nate about what his current thoughts on the game are
