I just realized December 4th last year was a Monday... now I'm getting nervous that we may get something today.Do you guys think today could be the day? 😳
I am unsure of the interview invites, but I was sent an OOS rejection on 12/04 at 4pmWhat time were interviews sent last year
ahhh thank you! I was hoping somebody here had intel.Current first year- word around school is that they will be sent next week. They have sent them on Mondays historically. Best of luck everyone!
Oooh this is exciting! Tysm for the tidbitCurrent first year- word around school is that they will be sent next week. They have sent them on Mondays historically. Best of luck everyone!

The increase in applications makes me so nervous…as a third time applicant I feel like my chances just get lower and lower each time.
Third this! (3rd time applying OOS) I did an app review last year and they said everything looked great, there was just a big pool of good applicantsI second this…and I hate it.
Has VA-MD posted the breakdown of IS/OOS applicants for this year?
tbh i don’t know if they really ever release exact number breakdowns on that. They accepted 500 for interviews last year.Does anyone who was at the open house remember how many IS/OOS interview seats there are?
if i remember correctly, i think they didn't post the breakdown of any stats for my class until we were here for a little bit. They did tell us at an info session the numbers from MD/VA/OOS that they invited for interviews though, so keep an eye out for information sessions They were helpful as wellHas VA-MD posted the breakdown of IS/OOS applicants for this year?
I’m really excited for in-person interviews! It will also be incredible to meet other applicants!Hey guys! I’m a first year at vmcvm. Just wanted to pop in and say that i know it is borderline impossible but try to enjoy the holidays and breathe. Whether you get an interview or not does not define you or your ability to be a vet in the future! How are my IS feeling about in person interviews? Feel free to message me with any questions
Yup! They did the first Monday and first Friday of the first full week of December the past two cycles. So, might be today. But according to info from Director of Admissions, high volume of applicants may delay their invites/rejections to 2nd Monday (the 9th). Historically, 12/9 is a preferred/target date, which makes Monday even more likely. Emails usually sent out between 4 and 5pm. However, every year is a little different and all we can do is wait.Important Dates and Deadlines

So it says notification of interview invitations are to go out in early to mid December... Getting a little anxious as it could be any day now.
I’m also freaking out, my stomach has been doing somersaults all weekend. As a third cycle applicant, this is my last chance. The thought of possibly having to choose another career after all the years of hard work is terrifying 😭I’m so scared. I’m IS so VMCVM is my best and most preferred shot. I know I will be ok if I have to take a gap year, but I don’t want to deal with the stress of it all. I thought I was zen about it a month ago but now that it’s so close I am NOT lol. Hope everyone else isn’t fretting too much
Last year in the interview email they said they shoot for:Does anyone know how many out of state seats are offered usually?
What facebook group is it? I am apart of "APVMA: The American Pre-Veterinary Medical Association" and I don't see a post by her.Hey everyone! The director of admissions for VMCVM commented on a facebook post earlier from the pre-vet group. This is per Shelby Stegall:
“Hi All, Director of Admissions at VMCVM! With the increase in application numbers this year interview decisions will probably be sent a little later than normal, we are hoping for sometime next week!”
Hope this helps and sending good vibes to everyone!!
