Just got the official invite.. October 4th for me. (Saturday!! Yes!)
 
I also just got the interview invitation. Looks like I'll be there on Sept. 30th.
 
do they take their time updating your status or is that just me? they don't say they've gotten anything that I sent them.. it's been a few weeks
 
They've been pretty up to speed with my stuff. Granted, I did send a bunch of it in way ahead of time so they've only really done one big update that took care of everything.
 
yeah, I spoke with Danielle last year when they were deciding whether or not to accept my old MCAT score. She's extremely nice--one of the reasons I'm reapplying to Kentucky.

Yep. When I called they said they were scheduling EDP interviews first and they would take up most of September, then they would schedule regular decision.

Fair enough. I talked to a MS-1 there this year and she says she was called just a few days before her interivew to schedule it. Apparently if they can't find all EDP people to fill a day, they'll call regular people to fill the spots at the last minute. I guess it's a hope I can hold on to. 😳
 
My daughter got a secondary from Kentucky but she has absolutely no ties to the state. She has a 3.5 in Chemistry at a top school and her retake on the MCAT was over 30.

Is there any point in even sending in a secondary? Is the lack of state ties a complete deal breaker? 😕

Preference is given to people has ties to Kentucky for sure. The chance is kind of small in yr case I would think.
 
I just submitted my secondary, with the final submission. However, when I look at my status it says I haven't paid the fee yet, but I paid this a few days ago. I printed out a receipt, and checked my credit card statement, the payment is on it. Did this happen to anyone else?
 
my stuff's been there for over a month and my status still says they haven't received anything. I think they're just really backed up

Indeed, I think this is the busy time for their office. However, a month does seem a little excessive since they're usually pretty efficient.

What did Danielle have to say when you e-mailed her?

she said that they were swamped and that she hadn't gotten a chance to download my stuff yet, but that she'd do it "soon".

Well, they did recently move offices. Maybe that's complicating the process a little. :shrug:
 
The e-mail I got said it could take up to 10 days for your application to show complete. The payment just bothers me though, since it was electronic you'd think that would be able to work without anyone needing to look at it. Thanks for letting me know that yours is all delayed too. I might send them an e-mail next week if it still isn't showing up as received.
 
Hi guys, wondering what is the best strategy for sending a photo to UK? They don't have an upload option on the secondary...or do they and I'm missing it? If not, would email be OK, or paper mail? Any advice?

Looking at last year's thread, some people waited upwards of a month to get the e-mail saying date, time, and whatnot. The average looked to be about 2 weeks or so.
 
Any fellow EDPers out there get a accept/reject yet? I got mine today... ACCEPT!!!!! Happiest I think I have ever been!

Man, that's gotta be nice to done with the cycle already. Now you can just sit back and watch the rest of us freak out. :scared:

Nope, from KY too. Seems like everyone on here is! You all have to wait till the 15th right? That's not too bad. I know for dental school they have till December, OUCH! Seems like this thread is very slow... wierd since ALL of my friends use SDN...

Yeah, there aren't that many people on this thread this early. Once more people have their interviews and then maybe waitlists, this thread will pick up. At least, that's what happened last cycle.

Aww 🙂 I have a dutch warmblood.. I do all that jumping nonsense. Those saddlebreds are awful cute though! I keep mine at a private barn up by school now, since I haven't shown as much since I've been in college. Do you go to UK now?
 
My status shows "Preliminary Screening Completed ". Is this is a rejection? Comments? Thanks.
 
apparently I never double-pressed the submit button like I was supposed to. All that wasted time and now I have a late application 🙁
 
Forgot to hit submit??? For your secondary? well at least its only september!

The initial screening thing will go away after a few days and switch to "interview to be scheduled" if you get an interview, then youll confirm the date with admissions, then a week later it will say "interview scheduled".

After the interview it will say "interview complete" then "Admissions Committee Review Complete"--- and usually by that time you will have already heard either yay or nay...

It's nice that all of this stuff is on the website, so you can check it and see where you're at. On the other hand, don't get in the habit of checking it every day... a watched pot never boils!😀
 
That's not good, maybe they already put your other stuff into your app though? One person from there did say, about 2 weeks ago that you weren't behind if you were submitting then, and to not worry about it.
