Still waiting on 9/12. Wait your turn.
C'mon now. Play nice. They might all come out together 😀.

Anyone know when 9/15-9/17 interview decisions come out?
Pitt has started rejecting people post secondary/pre interview via status page but without an email notification. Good luck to you all.
Wow.
Rejected post-secondary with 3.8 and 37S.
Maybe I have a bad LOR or something. 🙁
The suspense is killing me! Pitt's my first choice, and my faculty interview didn't go so well .... 🙁
congrats to all those accepted!!! and waitlisted- hey, I'd be thankful not to get rejected at this point!

I was under the impression that they give out auto-interviews for applicants with high enough numbers. Does anyone know what the specific cut-offs are? Or am I mistaken about this?

I don't think Pitt does this very often, definitely not as often as University of Michigan (and other schools, maybe Vandy?). The only specific person I remember is someone earlier in this thread mentioning that they got a pre-secondary invite, but as I recall she was a very accomplished URM applicant. 🙂
Waitlisted 🙁
I interviewed on 9/15 and got accepted today. Just wanted to let people know who had interviews around then to check their status page because I didn't get an email or anything. Good luck everyone! 🙂
The wait is killing me... but then again I interviewed 10/13... So should I really expect to hear in 8 weeks, or is 5 most likely gonna be the case?
Congrats...maybe I'll see you in April at Second look 😛
hey guys! congratulations on the acceptances! i am interviewing at pitt soon, and was wondering if any of you have any advice as far as prepping for the interview. I'm relaly nervous about interviewing here!!

The best advice is don't be nervous. I felt like the school was trying to sell itself even more than we were (since, you know, who actually wants to live in Pittsburgh?). Just relax and have a down to earth conversation with your interviewer... find out what they're interested in, ask them questions about their career choice, and compliment them with things like "that's really cool/interesting." I think politeness and a relaxed personality go a long way in these interviews, and will serve you better than over-preparation and rehearsed answers.
LOL take it easy on the 'burgh. Over the last two decades they have done a fine job of cleaning up the city and giving certain sections (The Waterfront) a quasi-hip feel. The surround areas are very nice and fairly wealthy. There are fine restaurants (even though as a med student no one will have the money to go there). There is a resounding, unique culture in the city with plenty to do and America's team, The Pittsburgh Pirates, play their home games in the one, the only PNC park where they have windows in the bathrooms so you can P-N-C.
Lol I kill myself
PS. It is fairly warm compared to the rest of Pa, I don't know why?
