Just got an invite, so excited. 😀

Does Jefferson only conduct interviews on Wednesdays?

thanks and congrats to those accepted already.

Congratulations!!!👍👍 Is it email/status page?

ya Jeff only has Wed. interviews.. School is amazing, congrats!

Is their status page not working for anyone? I clicked the link in my email today and it comes up as page not found.
?

did everyone receive a complete email? My secondary status shows everything as received, but I never received a complete email?

I'm pretty sure that in their FAQ they say if there is a YES next to everything on the status page, then you are complete.

I did not receive an email either.

is there a student host program? thanks

anybody else anxious in hopes of a phone call tomorrow by Dr. Callahan?

I got an e-mail response to an update telling me that I'm in the pile for interviews and should be getting contacted to schedule one soon...

Yay? I guess.. haha. I keep waiting for the e-mail back being like "oops! we thought you were someone else, just kidding. You're really rejected"

Congrats Sammich 🙂 When were you complete?

Complete end of September. E-mail told me I'd been reviewed in October and now I'm in the "we'll interview you at some point" pile.

Heh makes me wish I had a reason to email them just to find out ...

what kind of email did you send them and when did you send it?

and how long did it take them to respond? Sorry for the 20 questions 😛

Most medical schools try not to schedule interviews too far in advance, especially since many applicants end up withdrawing after being offered a slot. I assume Jeff schedules interviews relatively close to the interview date (they offer a scheduled date, you don't choose it), to avoid having to scramble for new interviewees should an applicant withdraw after being offered an interview.

Good luck guys! And to those waiting to hear from Dr. Callahan, it took the office about 3 weeks to get back to me from my interview date so be patient.

I've heard that yours status on the secondary website changes before you're contacted. Did you check there?

www.jefferson.edu/jmc click apply online on the right and it should lead you to the login section.

Congrats on the interview.

Also, you guys think it'd be annoying if I called and checked up on where my application is? I'm just curious if its been reviewed or not...

the lady i talked to did not seem too happy with me when i called.

but just to clarify, i think it was an exception. Most schools are very friendly regarding this.

did ANYONE get a phone call today?

did ANYONE get a phone call today?

I was placed on high priority waitlist on thursday...I hope this is semi-good news...i interviewed on 11/4.

What happens is that the committee meets to talk about the applicant the Thursday a week after the actual interview (as far as I know, the committee only meets on Thursday). The caveat to this is that the faculty interviewer must be present in order for the decision to be made. A student advocate is also present who presents the salient points of the student interview. Usually the decision is made that day.

If you're accepted, you get a call from Dr. Callahan, likely the day of the decision. As for waitlist, I believe that you get snail mail or e-mail, I'm not sure. For rejections, Jefferson seems to be notorious for having "silent" rejections (aka no response), but there could also be snail or e-mail. Basically if you haven't heard from Jefferson after 3 weeks or so, it might be a good idea to call the admissions office to see what's up.

Btw, congrats to those of you who got into Jefferson, it's a great place to be.

Did they change the day? Last year meetings were on Wed and the calls went out that same day. FYI, don't freak out at the 3 week mark. I was so worried every Wed. after my interview when no call came. I got my acceptance exactly 4 weeks after my interview. It was just a matter of my faculty interviewer being able to attend the meeting.

I interviewed 11/4 too- haven't heard anything though. Very antsy- I love jeff

For those who have sent in update letters, did you send it in snail mail or email ([email protected])?

Anyone know if they have a preference?

Thanks for the help!

Just received an interview! 👍 (via email: complete mid oct./ applying for PSAP)

However, I may have to reschedule the interview date. How are they with rescheduling?

I submitted around the beginning of September. I sent in an update and was told I was reviewed in October and that I would be hearing from them to schedule an interview soon.

I'm excited. It seems like a great school.

🙂

Congrats Sammich! I was complete around the same time but I haven't heard ... well hoping to hear for the next round!

I got a call from Dr. Callahan at 3:20 today! ACCEPTED- I almost crashed my car when I got the call (I was on the NJ Turnpike on the way home from another interview haha!) I've gotten accepted to Temple and GW, but this is by far the most exciting! Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear- I'm sure it will all turn out great. 👍👍

When did you interview?

So, for those with an interview, what hotel are you staying at (assuming you are getting a hotel)?

I was looking at the holiday inn express that is .25 miles away. The school mentions two hotels, but they are a little expensive.

Any adivice/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I stayed there.. it was nice.. also check out the regular holiday inn (1/2 mile away).. It was cheaper than the express

Is there an easy way to get from the airport -> hotel -> school? I've never been anywhere near there and am traveling by myself in january.

The Holiday Inn Express is pretty solid...it's where I stayed when I interviewed a few years back. There's also an option to stay with a student, which I probably would have done if I had known. It saves money and gives you a better feel for student life (most student hosts live on or close to campus).

Yeah, at the airport, there's an R1 train that stops at each terminal and costs around $7 one way. You'll take it to Market East station, which is about 3-4 blocks from campus. Most of the hotels are only a couple blocks away from the campus.
