Doesn't sound like it. Had my eyes dilated this morning so I was deprived of
SDN until now. This might make for a long 3 day weekend unless they are making calls over the weekend.

I thought I remembered a day awhile back where they called on the weekend. I just scanned through the past posts and couldn't find it, although I found that ahowardmd got their call at 6:10PM on 2 Dec. I'm sure by tomorrow at 6am I will have a spreadsheet built of the exact timing of every past notification call, and the percent probability of calls for each hour until Tuesday.

My flight commander called my cell phone a little while ago and said "I have some news to pass on to you...(1 second pause that felt like minutes).....we are having a recall to make sure you are not in Haiti." not cool, dude👎

--Yes, it will be a long weekend--

Time for a beer

Interviewed 22 Oct, and they said the letters had been sent out.

Ok, really weird, just after my post I got a letter in the main from USUHS. Accepted and wait-listed! I know this doesn't mean unconditionally accepted but I am still pretty pumped. It looks like the letter was actually written on the 7th of January but took until today to get here so there is no telling when they will arrive for you other accepted candidates (I am in CA).

Congrats! Into what branch were you accepted, and waitlisted?

I got called on a Sunday at about 1:00pm AK time... so yes, they definitely make weekend calls.

Congrats! How does being accepted AND wait-listed work? Never heard of it.

Well according to the letter, which was really quite brief, I have been accepted into the class by the admissions committee but currently there are no Navy slots available. They say they will let me know with a phone call when a position is made available for me.

When did you interview? So I guess they don't call if you are waitlisted?

Ya that seems to be the case. I interviewed 10/8.

Congrats! When did you interview, and when did they call you? Did Dr. Calloway call?

Interview was 11/19, Dr. Calloway called this morning. She also told me the AF class would be full after today.

Congrats to everyone who got accepted!! And hang in there for those who are waiting to hear...

Don't forget the facebook group!! http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=157588585981

Side Note: I called yesterday to check on the dates for the second look, they do not know yet but will email us as soon as it is set. Last year it was Apr 24-25 so I am guessing somewhere around there??

if anything is not full, its the army.....even if it full the waitlist usually gets completely ran through

Accepted! Army, and I interviewed 12/3. Dr. Calloway called this morning.

Wow that popular.

It doesn't have much to do with popularity, or lack thereof. The are just more Army slots than the other services. There is a ton of wait-list movement in all of the services; when it comes down to signing away the next 14+ years of your life, many people who are occupying slots will get cold feet and change their minds.

Does anyone have any information about the length of the waitlists for the various services or how much they have moved in the past years? It seems like this information is much harder to find for USUHS than other schools, maybe because of the different branches.

There are army and air force students in 2013 that were pulled off of the alternate list--which happens after the waitlist has been gone through (like the waitlists at other schools). Not sure about Navy, but i know there are lots in the class that came off the waitlist.

Thanks for the info.

Also, congrats to those accepted today!

Any more calls today?

If it's any consolation, I didn't get a call either. Pretty stressful day! Since there was only one, possibly two AF acceptances (on here at least) today, I'm holding out for tomorrow!

Congrats to all of you accepted today!

Yes, congrats to everyone! I interviewed Dec 10th, so the acceptance of someone from the Dec 3rd group has me excited and nervous. I really hope to hear something soon. I loved USUHS.

Thanks man. It was a very stressful day. I was really thinking that I might get a call today. If it's true that all of the Air Force slots have been filled up. Then I guess what I can hope for now is a waitlist letter.

That is what I'm hoping for now.🙁

Got a call yesterday ...

Accepted, class of 2014!!! 😀😀😀

Does anybody know what USUHS's policy is on deferment of matriculation for a year? I never considered deferring before now, but an interesting opportunity has come up...I would email the admissions office, but I don't want to come across as wishy-washy before I get the unconditional acceptance!

I was in a very similar situation last year, and what USUHS told me was that they only offer deferment due to deployment. You could probably press the issue, but I personally had to apply again this round (and am very glad that I did!). But, as we all know, the application process is only getting harder and harder...

This is a repeat post from earlier... it didn't seem to get any love...

So I will be interviewing in a couple of weeks and am trying to get my medical exam in order. I live in downtown DC and was assigned to a physician out in Germantown, but that is quite a haul for me! I called Concorde to try to get an appointment closer to me (20008) but they would not disclose the address of the physician until after I consented to the substitution. This is tricky because they only permit one switch... the ultimate catch 22. So... did anyone get their medical exam in or around The District? What are the known, metro accessible locations?

Well I don't have the answer for you but I was able to move my scheduled appointments from northern CA to southern CA just by giving them my local address and asking if they had something closer. They found two offices that were within 3 miles of my apartment. I din't call them, all I did was send an email. I know its sad but its probably hit or miss whether you get someone who cares enough to look.

in the long run is it really that big of a deal (unless you don't have a vehicle) to suck it up and drive 45minutes to an hour and a half? Just don't schedule your appointment around rush hour. If you don't have a car then why wouldn't you switch? Anywhere in the district is bound to be more metro accessible than Germantown.

Ah, that's rough. I would never, ever apply to medical school a second time!

who do i call regarding questions about whether or not i will be able to be granted security clearance? is it Peter Sylvester in the security office? or Rebecca?

Hey Everyone!! I interviewed 11/19 and got my conditional acceptance 1/20!! Go Army!!

Also, for anyone who has any questions about living in the area, feel free to ask. I'm from Maryland originally and currently work right across the street from USUHS at the NIH.

And I saw that in past posts that it seems like a lot of people know the PFT requirements but I only skimmed and saw those for men. Where can I find the requirements for women in the Army?

Thanks in advance!

I've been taking the army apft for 7 years now and evey time I finish one I have to google army apft score scale or something similar to see my score. There is a matrix with score for each of three events by age and gender. Passing is a minimum of 60 points in each event, the matrix is easy to find. Hope to see you next year.

So I have received 3 emails from USUHS about upcoming interview, but none say when to arrive at the campus. What time should I be there? It says that if I go on the optional tour, the I'll be there until 6:15 pm - they're not expecting me to show up at 8:00 am and spend 10+ hours there... are they?
