Gotta love snow days 😉

A group of us were studying at the HSLC and decided the snowball fight was mandatory. Search Facebook for "Bascom Hill Snowball Fight" to see lots of pics and video.

And I believe the Ad Com did meet this week, but I am sure decisions will be going out a day later than usual. Only people in the building Wednesday were students 😀

it takes place sometime in april or so when all interviews ended. Can you tell us when you interviewed and if you are IS or OOS 🙂. Thanks and sorry for the bad news. someone correct me if im wrong but for some reason i think they stop interviewing at like the end of jan? I'm sure that Lucy Wall can make comments or suggestions if she wants, even if she is not a formal part of the committee. From my interactions with her, she seems to have her hands in so much of the application process that it would surprise me if she had no say.

That said, I'm just speculating.

But now you've got me curious! Go ahead and spill the beans 🙂

I interviewed on the first date and people from the second date had decisions weeks before me. I ended up getting in, so I don't think you need to read too much into it. I know it doesn't help the waiting anxiety, but for what it's worth, that was my experience.

I see from your MDapps that it took 7 weeks to hear back, so I guess we'll just have to be patient.

Just going to the interview at Mayo was cool, I really don't have much hope of getting in there. And, anyway, I'm very happy to be in at the UW. My family won't have to move it's an awesome school. No complaints here!

I hope that you hear back soon. I remember making the anxiety-filled walk to the mailbox everyday when I was waiting to hear... so much stress!

I got my letter today accepted!!!!!!!! So excited my 1st one after 3 straight waitlists...dont feel like a failure now haah 🙂. Anyways i interviewed on 11/6 and my letter was dated dec 10. I am OOS in cali too so koko you should hopefully be getting it soon?

Oh man i cant believe it finally...now i can mass withdraw from all schools. Theres a 99% chance ill be here come august cant wait 🙂

I'm sorry, that sucks 🙁 Hold in there though, you could definitely still get accepted off the waitlist later in the application cycle. Even though it's always annoying to have to wait longer, you would still be attending UW with everyone that got accepted early so in the end it wouldn't matter. I wish you the best of luck !!!

I think unless something concerning happens, only the people that interview you send a written statement to the adcom and then members of the adcom that HAVE NOT interacted with you are allowed to participate in the review. Members of the adcom that interviewed the applicant in review have to leave the room so each applicant is reviewed equally.

PLEASE correct me if any of this information is false.

At my interview day both Lucy Wall and Jane Shepard indicated that they do not have a vote on the admissions committee. They did not indicate one way or the other whether they are at the committee meetings and are able to contribute to the discussion regarding applicants.

on my day they said they have no input whatsoever. They just wanted us to relax and ask w/e as they have no bearing at all on your decision. At least thats what I got out of what they told us.

I agree that last cycle and this cycle, they have been amazingly willing to help and were happy to make the process more transparent. A welcome change from the policy of silence at some schools.

That said, I'm still waiting 🙁

I'm hoping that the blizzard that DC is getting doesn't affect the delivery of my letter on Monday. I heard that Madison got 17'' that fateful day a couple weeks back. Georgetown got 24'' today!
