so i'm assuming some people will be/have been rejected? they're just not sdn'ers or haven't posted.

I guess thats what they meant, I know SDN is not an accurate representation of applicants, but still, not one SDNer got rejected? That seems... well more skewed than I thought.
 
yea no one got rejected. basically they are sorting through categories or stats or IS or whatever. rest of us got sorted out and probably have not even been thoroughly reviewed yet
 
I still haven't even gotten a confirmation of receipt of primary and it has been nearly a week since it was available to them!

well i'm IS with relatively decent stats and i'm in the sept-march pile, dunno what that means but i think they've prob looked at mine at least halfway..
 
yea its a weird process. my PI is a committee member at Penn and he doesn't take more than 10 seconds to look at an app nor does he give a ****. He tells me everyone is the same really and its pretty hard to distinguish people so yea idk
 
Still haven't acknowledged receiving my primary...🙁

Maybe I should call. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow.
 
I thought IS/OOS didn't matter at Wake. Why does everyone mention that they're IS/OOS?
 
So you think maybe so far it's just been auto-invites? Like, for exceptionally high MCATs, URM status, etc? that might make sense.

Ahh the waiting game begins! we better get used to it. lol
 
Hmm, I got the "bad" status as well. Their response to rockaction's status question is encouraging, but it seems a little off (even for SDN) that nobody here has been rejected. I doubt all of us are in that interview pool, and would guess they just haven't put up rejection statuses yet.

This doesn't seem likely. I mean, ksmi got an invite and her MCAT is so-so at best...🙄

yeah its strange. but its hope, and at the very least, thats good :luck: i'd like to think of it as the benefit of applying early..

They sent an email acknowledging my amcas just a few minutes ago. It took 16 days fyi 🙂
 
I just got it too. I guess they were waiting til they had a ton so their work would be cut out for them. Or maybe they wanted to finish the last batch.
 
Just got mine as well, but my status page doesn't seem to work yet. Figure it's not really worth checking it for at least a week or so though...?
 
Mine isn't working yet either. And it isn't worth checking for a little while. But you will anyway. Haha
 
Got mine too. Whee. Now comes the waiting. They said 1 - 2 weeks. I really hope its 1 week.
 
That's weird, mine isn't working for the second time. I tried pressing enter and clicking the actual button, but neither work now. I guess I'll try later.

Sorry, I probably missed this -- but what status are you talking about?
 
My status finally says that I will be receiving a secondary via email (in up to 2 weeks to make matters worse). This is after being amcas verified since like the first week of June and putting Wake in my list of schools since day 1. Apparently they were waiting on my mcat scores that were uploaded 3 weeks ago. So now there are people getting interviews while I'm still not even able to fill out a secondary. And the worst part is, my list of medical schools is fairly aggressive to say the least, so Wake was the closest thing I had to a "safety". Now that I'll be applying later in the cycle, I'd say that designation just got even more ridiculous. Just a little frustrating.

Wake a safety? What state are you from? Must be one of those that have tough state schools to get into or you just didn't want to go to those schools.
 
For those of you that got interviews here, what's the status page say?
 
They finally received my primary yesterday, and I added on 7/20. For everyone that already got secondaries, was the 1-2 weeks fairly accurate for the initial app. review or not?
 
Lots of confusion regarding the interview invites for Wake, but if your status page invites you to call them to set up an interview, you can definitely call them and do just that. they appear to now be ready to start scheduling people (last week, I do not believe this was the case...even when people got this interview status update). First day to interview is Sept 14!
 
I'm approved for the secondary! For those of you who got the email that they got your AMCAS last week, you can start obsessively checking. The secondary won't come for up to 2 weeks though. 🙁

What day did you get the email saying that they had received your primary?
 
Last Thursday, the 6th. I'm impressed with how quickly they evaluated mine.
 
And then you just got the secondary invite today? On Saturday??? Did you check yesterday too? Just curious because they got my primary on Thurs. too.
 
I might have gotten it yesterday, and the status change is not very drastic. I had to read it like 3 times to take it in. Haha. But it's only a status change. They send the secondaries sometime later in batches. I guess they update the status in pretty close to realtime which is nice.
 
Ugh. 🙁 Well in that case, nothing for me yet... But congrats on yours, and hopefully I will be joining you soon! If you don't mind me asking, what are your stats?
 
cGPA 3.62 and 11,11,12 Q MCAT. I obviously don't need to go into super details. It's just a prelim review so as long as you aren't really lacking, you should be fine. I appreciate that they do this though. I hope you get it too. I think my stats are around the average for WF give or take.
 
So I accidentally started an application for the graduate school admissions. I haven't received a secondary invite yet - do you guys think the graduate school one will interfere with the med school one?

Well thank you! I hope I get one too (obviously 🙂). But I just wanted to know how close mine were to yours, and they are roughly the same (PS score is lower though, I hope that doesn't hurt me). Who knows how they go through them anyway? I keep telling myself that if they only sent me the primary notification on Thursday, maybe they just didn't have time friday to get to me... But thanks again.
 
Honestly, they probably didn't. I think they just update them as they do it, and send the secondaries in waves. I wish I could start on it now! In any case, I'm sure you'll be fine. This screen shouldn't be too severe.
 
I'm getting a secondary! I got an acknowledgment email last Thursday and my status this morning says I'll be getting a secondary. A 2-day turnaround! Great news 😎.
 
Congrats man. Obviously, I got the same thing. I'm excited for this secondary.
 
Heh, I must have had bad luck with screening or something - verified 07/03 and still don't have the secondary yet (though it's coming, supposedly). I feel so behind with this school, especially since the secondary looks like a pretty quick turnaround.
 
😀 Got it (the secondary)! Well, WILL be getting it to be exact...😀
 
Thanks for the heads up on the status page, just checked and saw the message to call and set up and interview date. How many people have gotten interviews?

Ksmi have you called to set up an interview yet? I was told when i called last week that they would start setting them up this week
 
I did. They start interviewing on Sept 14, and I think they interview Monday, Wednesday Thursday and Friday.... but I could be wrong with the middle days because I had to step outside to call them. All their days were open when I called, and that was yesterday.
