Is this the "good" status? It doesn't seem good to me. They are telling you to not call them. That says to me that you aren't getting an interview, and so we don't want you calling us wasting our time. I don't know though. The status saying interviews are from September to March seems like it would be the "good" one to me. They are telling you when to plan for an interview. I think perhaps we are all reading too much into these statuses (sp?) though.

Actually, I think the status was this: "Your application is complete. You are invited to call and set up an interview with us at your convenience."

That sounds like a good status to me?

Someone should probably just call and ask them what the hell all these statuses mean 🙂. I vote someone other than myself.

That would be a wonderful status to have. I think I missed the post with that status, but I would certainly call that the "good" or "really good" status.

No, I don't think so.
 
I still have the "currently under review status"... although I never got an email about being complete. Did anyone else get the status change without an accompanying email?

Congrats to those with interviews!
 
I think I confused things a little. There have only been two statuses regarding interviews so far:

1. Your application is complete. Interviews are by invitation from September to March. If you are invited, you will receive a e-mail or phone call to schedule an interview.

2. Your application is complete. You're invited to schedule an interview (or something like that).

So far, it looks like only 2 people have gotten the second status, right?

Yeah, that's excatly where I am. No email, but I have that status.
 
i want some more clarification. those of u that have invites now, did you have the same "sept-mar" message and THEN it changed? that would make me feel better knowing maybe they just havent reviewed yet and only send that to confirm everything is in.

If you have this status, then I am feeling pretty OK about it...I think no news is good news...

I don't know about you, but I already had a message that said I was complete before I got the Sept-March message.
 
"All materials necessary to evaluate your application have been received. Your file is currently under review. Please allow 1-2 weeks for this review."

This is what I get when I check the status on the website.

"Dear Applicant:

All materials necessary to complete your application have been received.

The Committee on Admissions will now evaluate your application for interview status. Interview is by invitation from September through March. Not all interviewable candidates can be invited. If you have not heard by April, you will receive notification of your status at that time."

That is the email I got this am. Are these the same ones you guys are talking about? This is the first one I received from them after submitting the 2ndary.

Ya me and luun. I'm pretty sure more people will post with interview invites because its sdn and I find it hard to believe that only two of us have gotten interviews. Hang in there interview invites will come:luck:
 
Looking back through the various status updates, I don't know whether we should even be making assumptions for what the September-March status means. It's almost regressing to the first ever status- your application is complete, we hold interviews.
 
I was looking through last years thread, and I found several people who said that their status first went to "Your application is complete. Interviews are by invitation from September to March. If you are invited, you will receive a e-mail or phone call to schedule an interview."

and within a few days received interview invites.:xf:

I think they are just progressing through the apps in order, and as they decide to invite some one their status gets updated. I think for those of us with the Sept-March status, we are complete but have not been reviewed yet. If we were being rejected, why would they tell us when interviews are? That would just be mean, "since you won't be getting invited to interview here, we just thought you might like to know our interviews are from September to March."

LOL..i think the sept-march status could either be a pre-interview hold, or just an automatic switch from the previous "1-2 weeks notice" status. the latter would make sense because they must know that if we didnt hear from them in those 1-2 weeks their phone lines would be slammed by sdners

If it changed to that, it happened before I saw it. Yesterday my status said I was complete and would hear something withing 1-2 weeks, and this morning I just randomly checked it and I had the status I have now.
 
I keep on sending an email to Wake, but it keeps getting returned as undeliverable. I sent it to the following address: [email protected]

anyone else have this problem? What am I doing wrong?!!!

That looks like the right address. Maybe their mailbox is full?
 
I've been sending it for the past 2 days, and they said their mailbox is fine. That is very weird.
 
just checked my status and found out i had an interview invite. didn't get a phone call so its definitely worth checking...

I've found that this happens every time I type in my stuff and then press "Enter/Return" instead of actually physically clicking the button. Try clicking the Submit button- it should work then.
 
Got an interview invite! Not sure when it was posted to my status page, but I checked today and found the following message:

Your application is complete. You are invited to call and set up an interview with us at your convenience.

Does anyone know why they don't email status updates?? I would have never known if I hadn't seen on SDN that Wake has a status page...

Yea, it seems like for most schools a few exceptionally high stat people get it very soon with the rest a bit later 🙂
 
ugh, i got the semi-dreaded limbo msg "Sept to March" update overnight...I hope that this is just a temporary hold and not a precursor to a slow, drawn out rejection...good luck to everyone...
 
Can anyone post the status website? The status website never works for me. I've tried at all times throughout the day, and the page never seems to load. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but the page won't load. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

i had some issues getting to the status page with firefox a few days ago, but now it seems to have resolved for me. maybe try accessing with a different browser? you can try this link:

pseudo-waitlist this morning. too bad. i was really hoping for an early interview at this place.
 
So I know this was discussed already but what was the verdict on this status?

Basically a hold. Others have been getting statuses saying something like "you have an interview, please call us to schedule a time."
 
Did u receive an email or did you check your status online

Not necessarily in my case. I'm assuming they actually go through the entire application, especially since they gave me an interview.

Alright everyone, I've got some good news! I emailed Wake Forest about what the status "means", and if it's a post-secondary hold or not. Here's the reply I got:

"What the status means is that you have been placed in an interview pool and may get an invitation for interview. There usually ends up being about 1,000 in the top interview pool with spaces for only 550 to be interviewed. So we send the invitations. That hasn't been done as of yet for the interviews which will begin mid September. Stay tuned, you could possibly hear something soon."

That's more re-assuring than a straight-up hold. So everyone sit tight and hope for good things.

Oh snap, thanks!!!! so we all have a bout a 50% chance of getting an invite from the sound of it, that makes me feel much better lol.
