Orientation starts on 7/25. The orientation retreat is awesome!! It looks like classes start on 8/1.

Congrats byumd!

Werd up. Here's to hoping man.

Will there be any more acceptances going out this week? Getting worried 🙁

I hope so, I can't imagine waiting till mid-May/June for this! Top choice school here, sadness if I don't get it!🙁

I'll be withdrawing this week, so maybe you'll get my spot! Loved Baylor, an amazing place to study medicine. Good luck everyone 🙂

I JUST called and spoke with admissions about finding out my position on the waitlist, and the lday said that a waitlist hasn't even been created yet. She told me to call back near the May 15th deadline.
Bummer 🙁

I called yesterday, and they said they were planning on formulating the waitlist the third week of April, and that they would be continuing to send out acceptances till then.

This is why I <3 SDN. You guys are awesome! 👍

GL, everyone. let's get some more phone calls!:luck:

Ahhh! Awesome! This is great news. Come on ba(by)ylor! :xf:

Im sure they still have some acceptances to go out most likely seeing as we haven't seen anyone accepted from an interview date after Dec 10th and they have their whole policy of keeping spots open to accept from any interview day pool.

Congrats to everyone who's been accepted, best of luck to those who have withdrawn, and hang in there to everyone still waiting for the call :luck:

Grats to the additional acceptances and thank you to the people withdrawing! Hopefully you will decrease the wait time for someone dreaming about Baylor!

Fingers and toes continue to be crossed for now...

Current students, what does the structure of a preclinical exam week look like? I'm trying to take a trip to visit a friend abroad, but I had thought the breaks were a lot longer than they appear to be based on the academic calendar on the '15 website.

Based on the '10-'11 schedule for Block 1, classes stop on the previous Friday, and the exams are on Tuesday and Wednesday (done by 12:30 pm). Vacay on Thursday and Friday.

it varies from block to block. first semester of MS1 yr, we usually stopped classes on Thursday the week before. Had friday through monday off to study, then the test on Tuesday with the histo and anatomy practical on wednesday. we then would have the rest of wednesday off, thursday, friday, sat, and sun. school would start up again on monday.

things change when you get to second semester b/c they are now individual tests for each subject, not one combined test. this block, we are done with classes this upcoming thursday. then we have a test monday, tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. then we have spring break.

this is the first time we will be ending finals on a thursday; the previous 4 blocks ended on a wednesday afternoon.

just called again, same message. as soon as the words "i interviewed in december" left my mouth, the receptionist told me...2 more weeks, there should be some news. maybe ill bake some muffins and send em to dr. eddins

I interviewed early January, where is the love Baylor!?

Hope to hear back soon...although the longer the wait it seems the less likely we'll hear back : (

By this time last year people on the Baylor thread were practically dying from the wait, we're a pretty quiet group in comparison, so I thought I'd liven this thread up a little:

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ACCEPT ME BAYLOR!!!!!!!! 😳

i'm with y'all. the wait is killin me too! come on baylor!!!!!!!!:luck::luck::luck::luck::luck::luck::luck:

Went back and looked through last year's thread. There were quite a few acceptances on 4/20 and then a few more on 4/28. A couple more out on 5/3 or 5/5 and then people began posting that they were waitlisted on 5/8. It could definitely be different this year, but I guess we need to wait regardless.

This has probably been asked before, but discussing the situation in this forum is the only comfort I have when I don't actually hear from Baylor: Anyone know why Baylor makes us wait so long? Are they just playing it safe in terms of gauging how many acceptances they should offer, or is this some kind of test of our patience?

hmm. Has anyone who interviewed in february been accepted? This is confusing.

Just got the waitlist email too. Interviewed 1/21. Has anyone who interviewed in January or February been accepted? I imagine if you didn't get the waitlist email today that means you're going to get the accepted call. I wish they would tell you what position you are on the list. I have a family and I'd like to be able to plan where we will be living.

i interviewed in February and received the waitlist email a few minutes ago

[edit] does anyone get rejected from baylor post interview? or is everyone grouped onto the waitlist?

They told us on our interview day that post-interview rejections are extremely rare. You'd have to come across as a narcissistic racist or something to get outright rejected.

Also got the waitlist email. very frustrating...

Waitlist. ****.

Has anyone been rejected post-interview? Thought I saw on here somewhere that no one has

Waitlisted also. Seems like everyone who interviewed in Jan/Feb did.

I interviewed in December and got the email too...I guess the question now is: Is there anyone waiting who has NOT got the waitlist email?

I also interviewed in december... still hoping i hear from them again sooner than later

Waitlisted here, too. Interviewed 1/21.

...I would love it if people began withdrawing right about...now.

Interviewed 1/10, got wait list email today also. I guess everyone is "waitlisted" that interviews, but I really wish they would just either say, you stand a great chance of getting in or heck no, you're way to far on the waitlist, sorry

Waitlisted here, too. I totally agree that they should tell you at least what quadrant you are on the waitlist.
