I submitted my secondary on Saturday and paid the fee. I got an email saying they had received my payment. However, when I go check my status, it's a red light and says "We have not yet received your fee." But when I click to pay, it says that they have received the payment...?
Should I just call? Anyone else had this problem?
Edit: called this morning, they said they'd look into it. Complete email sent approx. 30 minutes later. Plus the lady was super friendly. Very appreciative of their responsiveness!

Do you think 3 weeks is too short notice to send an in the area email to Dartmouth? I'm heading up to Boston later this month and was thinking of sending them an email. Sounds like they're already scheduling into November though so I don't want to piss them off....

You think 2 hours by car is close enough to merit and in the area email? Not being critical, I'm genuinely curious. The whole "in the area letter" etiquette is foreign to me.

Yeah, I think it's fine. The admissions office is receptive to it. They understand that everyone has financial/time/professional restrictions that can prevent them from multiple trips across the country.
I say go for it, they're not going to mark you down if you're polite about it. You're just saying hey, I'm in the area, not asking for an interview, but if you could look at my file and decide, that'd be nice. They seem to be understanding 🙂

I have a problem because I have not heard anything from Dartmouth but I want to go back to where I live which is outside of the US. When I leave the US, probably in November, I will not come back for any additional interviews because it is just too far.
If I leave I think I will have to withdraw my application from all the schools I have not heard from. I would too sad to get an interview after I left.
I completed my application at Dartmouth on July 8th. I also sent them an update recently saying that I will be leaving so if they want to interview me it would be best to know now. I got a response saying that the information would be added to my file.
Do people ever get interview invites long after they were complete? Is there any chance I will leave and then get an invite (especially since I already sent an email and got no invite makes me think I wont ever get one, or maybe Dartmouth doesn't care about those emails)?

Hello, fellow Canadian! (Major creeping happening on my end.) I'm also considering the Nov 17 date. Hopefully will meet you on the interview trail!
Has anyone with a relatively low mcat, between 30 - 32, interviewed at Dartmouth yet?

Interview invite today too! (and my first post on studentdoctor- wee!). I had sent an "in the area email" about 2 weeks ago and thought it might have helped, but looks like it was just a good day for Dartmouth hopefuls. 🙂

Could I ask you how you phrased your email. I would really like to send one, but not sure how to properly write it. Any help would be appreciated.

sure! I wasn't certain how to write it either, so I just wrote a paragraph including the basics: I'm very interested in the MD program at Dartmouth, I'd be in the area on a certain day for another med school interview, and that I know interviews are only given to select candidates but if I was being considered I'd appreciate any update. It was pretty vague and they responded with a "Thanks for letting us know," but then ~2 weeks later I got an interview invite. Who knows if they are linked! hope that helps.

Thanks! I interviewed the last week in September.

Ah, I guess I didn't make the first cut then. I seem to remember them saying that they work from the top (accepted) and bottom (rejected) of the ranked list post-interview.
Complete August 12th. Still haven't heard a thing.
Do they send rejection emails or snail mail?
