Congratulations! Just out of curiosity, are you in Cali or on the West Coast (say, within driving distance from USC)? And were you given any options for a date, or was it just assigned?

thanks for all the support everyone!

so i'm originally from CA (parents live there, did HS and undergrad there..actually very close to SC haha), but i've been in grad school and put an East Coast state as my state of residence on my AMCAS so I don't know what's going on there. hopefully USC still sees me as a CA resident...

i had options (just two...either Feb 24 or 28) when I got the email.

super stoked about this interview though as i mentioned before, a little doubtful about my chances this late in the game. super shocked about getting this interview too b/c it's my top choice and i don't exactly have the best numbers
 
interviewing here soon... anyone want to share their loves/hates about usc?

I definitely got someone's cancelled interview spot last year. I interviewed in the last week of February and there are like 4 other kids from my interview day that are in my class. Granted, the whole interview process has changed this year, but I wouldn't assume any interviews are for waitlist spots only.
 
The axe finally fell (pre-interview rejection via e-mail). Good luck to those still in the running!
 
How do you all know your priority score? ...that is what you mean when you post +1, +2, or +3... right? how do you know what yours is for USC? And SOCCRWON: did you really get a rejection email on a Saturday!?

Thanks for the reply. I was just wondering if maybe they were handing out the last couple of interviews to people who were geographically closer to USC and thus would have an easier time getting there. I guess not though. Good luck on your interview!

+1, +2 are just ways of saying "me too." There are a bunch of us who haven't been rejected yet, but haven't been invited to interview either, and that's what we were talking about. If you're talking about waitlist ranking, I don't think USC's is ranked at this point. I'm not sure though.

The + thing is actually a mathematical equation that increases the likelihood of acceptance to keck

Yup, 10am this morning, so the adcoms must have been busy this weekend!

Keck was a long shot for me. With my gpa I feel honored to have stuck around here as long as I did. Good luck to ya'll!
 
so I was wondering if I should bring my updates written out to my interview day or if I should email them to the office because I was complete since July and I have some significant updates (pubs, presentations, job duties, grad school grades (eh maybe I'll skip on this)). anyone know what's been done with regard to this?

also, how do they feel about letters of intent and post interview letters of recommendations (given that I have an interview)?

I'll throw a +5 in there.... Come on Keck, your interview season ends in less than two weeks. Invite us or reject us.
 
Should we prepare for mass rejections tomorrow or maybe keep hope that tomorrow will bring news of interview invites? I don't know, the waiting has made me delirious

Does anybody have any idea how big the pre-interview pool is at this point? I get the feeling there are a lot of us still waiting...

Post-interview updates are fine. I'm not sure of how important letters of intent are, and I'm not sure they'd even take another LOR into account.
 
Crap I was really holding out hope for this one but I just got rejected as well 👎

any advice? i'm interviewing here real soon too and i'm starting to freak out a bit!
 
Same here. I feel like I'm in a horror movie where the serial killer picks the group of teenagers off 1 by 1....:laugh:
